It's a sad day for me today...this will be my last card as a DT member for both SKETCH SATURDAY and A GEM OF A CHALLENGE....well to be honest i've dropped all of my DT post's...not a decision made lightly...but it needed to be done....i'd like to take the opportunity to thank all my teamies for having me...it's been a pleasure working with you all,i'll miss you!
Well now on to today's card which covers both SKETCH SATURDAY...fab sketch from Jo again this week and A GEM OF A CHALLENGE...where we have a colour challenge of "AQUA,LEMON & PINK".
I've used one of the recently released digi images from PINK GEM DESIGNS ....."jodie"...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,a dream to colour.
Papers are also from PINK GEM DESIGNS...another new set..."Flowers and Butterflies"...the sentiment is a large circle stamp "Sunshine & Smiles",again PINK GEM DESIGNS.
The butterflies were made using to different Martha Stewart punches.

A RECIPE FOR A PERFECT DAY.....

Hi everyone....today i have a card to share with you which covers two of my DT challenges....THE PAPER SHELTER,this week we have a colour combo theme of "Black,White and 1 other colour"...and STAMPAVIE AND MORE,where we have the theme of "Ribbon".
I've used a PAPER SHELTER image "Trattoria Chef",coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's and i've added glossy accents to the sauce.
The paper is from PINK GEM DESIGNS....from the "Gingham" download set....i was starting to panic i've used all my black and white gingham paper from Joanna Sheen that i usually use.... when suddenly i had a "light bulb" moment...PINK GEM to the rescue :0).
The recipe cards which are nearly all covered by the image are from the "Daily Servings" set from Designer Digitals,i've added file tabs to the tops using an Anna Griffin multi tabs punch.
The sentiment i computer generated using "Amanda's Hand" font.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:-
DUTCH DARE(Thurs).....i followed the sketch...and a fab one too!
CES(Sat)....Favourite colour combo....black white + 1 is my all time favourite!

Well it's the start of a new week and a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT....this week our host is Joanne and she's set the theme of "Boyz to Men".
I've used "The Beer Monster" for my card,coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's....i've added googly eye's and some glossy accents to the beer glass.
The paper is Basic Grey "Cupcake" and textured cardstock DCWV....letter beads for the cheers....must put these away and the googly eye's i'm using them too often...lol....it gets alittle boring.
Garden twine to finish.

Today i've two cards to share with you....firstly my DT card for THE PAPER SHELTER...this week we have the theme of "Bling it up".
I've used "Birthday Cupcake" image and "Birthday Cupcake papers" set....both available to purchase from THE PAPER SHELTER.
i'VE 3d'd the topping on the cupcake using pinflair glue gel,i've used glossy accents,self adhesive gems and glamour dust to bling it up!
The sentiment is from a Elzybells clear stamp set....sadly no longer available.

WHIMSY MAY 1st DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP....

Hi and welcome to WHIMSY MAY 1st DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP....if you've arrived here from the lovely SYLVIA'S BLOG....then you're in the right place,if not you may want to start at the WHIMSY INSPIRATIONS BLOG so that you don't miss anything along the way.
For my card today i've gone with one of Crissy Armstrong's new images "Nose to Nose"....isn't this image adorable....i've coloured it using Promarkers and Prisma's....i've then cut the image out because i wanted to mount it onto the circle of gingham cardstock.....i think the gingham works well with this image.
The gingham was printed onto 200gsm smooth cardstock and is a download from Pink Gem Designs.
The sentiment is also WHIMSY STAMPS.....from the "Birthday Letter Seals".
Ribbon,pearls,flower and silk seam binding from stash.

LESS IS MORE WEEK 13...LUCKY DIP....

Well over at LESS IS MORE this week the theme is Lucky Dip....so it can be either "Thank You" or "Congratulations"...as you can see i've gone with a Thank-You card....always good to have a few of these by you.
I've gone with an image from PINK PETTICOAT.....from the "Dandelion Wisps" set....i've printed directly onto my card and then added the stamped sentiment which is out of a clear stamp set by HOTP.
I've added a large black faceted gem to the center of the large flower and two smaller black gems to the two other flowers.
Not much to this card...but i love it!

I've used a Kenny K stamp "Movie Star" available to purchase from WHIMSY STAMPS...i love this image....i've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium,i cut her out because i wanted to use the black glittered cardstock for a background.
The sentiment is also from WHIMSY STAMPS....it's from the "Fast Lane Sentiments" set by Raindrop Echo Designs....this set is just perfect to work with the Kenny K stamps.

Wednesday again...boy are the weeks flying by!.....
Today again i've combined two challenges...THE PAPER SHELTER,this week we have the theme "Ode To A Mom".....and STAMPAVIE AND MORE,where we have the theme of "Pearls".
I've used a recently released PAPER SHELTER image "Proud Mom",coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,i've also paper pieced part of the pram.
The papers are also from the PAPER SHELTER...from the "Birthday Cupcake" set.
The sentiment i printed off a Colour My World CD "Sweet Baby".

Hope you're all enjoying the Easter weekend...and eating lot's of chocolate :0) and that the weathers been kind to you all,like it as here!
Today's card is for our new chellenge over at POLLYCRAFT....this week our host is the lovely Emma and she's set the theme of "FUN & GAMES".
I've used one of the new Swings and Slides 2 images "Skills"...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's...i love these new images of Paula's,so perfect for children's cards.
The paper is Dovecraft from the "Masculine" set.
I printed the two different sized footballs from the computer and just went over the black parts with a black Promarker.

Well Happy St Georges Day,Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to me!....right now we've got all the "Happy's" out the way on to this weeks challenge over at SKETCH SATURDAY....where we have another fab sketch for you this week by Jo..loved this thanks Jo :0).

Another combined card from me today....it covers both THE PAPER SHELTER and STAMPAVIE AND MORE.

Over at THE PAPER SHELTER this week we have the theme "Inspired By Nature" and at STAMPAVIE AND MORE we have a "Birthday" theme.

I've used a newly released image from THE PAPER SHELTER....."Zoe Spring"...isn't she gorgeous...alittle Sarah Kay-ish i think!..i've coloured her using Promarkers and Prisma's.

The paper is by Creative Imaginations...not that you can see much of it!

Both the butterfly and the border down each side of the card have been done with Martha Stewart punches.

The sentiment is by Papermania and the flourish stamp is HOTP.

LESS IS MORE WK 11 THEME..."ACETATE"

Well it's week 11 over at LESS IS MORE and this week there's a theme of "ACETATE".
I'm really happy with how this card turned out but boy how hard is it to get a good photo when you've used acetate and to be totally honest the card is much better IRL than it looks here :0(.
I've used a sheet of glittered print acetate by Inkraft...i had this in a sale from the garden center,i think it was £1.50 for 5 different designs and at the time wasn't really sure if i'd ever use it!
I've wrapped the acetate over some textured cream cardstock,the acetate was smaller than A4 so folded the card and cut to suit the size....the card size is 63/4" x 51/4".
I've secured the acetate to the cardstock on the front only with a strip of extra strong double sided tape,i've then wrapped the satin ribbon around the card to cover the tape.
The jewelled brad is by Dovecraft and the sentiment is by Anna Griffin...the ink matches perfectly to the ribbon,but for some reason everything is showing slightly different colours in the photo!

SPECIAL DAD.....

Well where did the weekend go then!...Monday again and the start of a new week and also a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT.....this week our lovely Maria's our host and not only as she set the theme of "VINTAGE" ,she's also come up with a fabby sketch for you to work with! I've used the new charity digi "Vintage Ronnie" which Paula's just released to help Emma (one of our DT)raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance...all proceeds from this image will go to that charity(minus Paypal fee's)..Emma's already raised over £800 so far and so not far off her target of £1000...well done Emma :0) I changed and printed the outline image off in Sepia...and used a Sepia Prisma pencil to colour it in...the map background is a page out of a old AA road atlas...no longer required due to the age of the Tom Tom's and Sat Nav's...but so glad my hubby didn't throw it away :0) I've distressed the paper both with a distressing tool and Distress Ink. We are sponsored this week by THE CREATIVE COTTAGE...and the lucky winner will get a £10 voucher to spend in the store....well worth joining in for!

I've used Versafine "Deep Lagoon" to stamp the image onto cream cardstock, and them cut it out using an oval nestie...which i've then mounted onto the beaded oval nestie....and added pearls to each of the scallops. The swirly embossed background i've done using the Cuttlebug "Divine Swirls" embossing folder. Metal ribbon slider and ribbon from stash. I've used one of the newly released images from THE PAPER SHELTER...."Cabaret Lolly"...i think this is such a fun image!...i've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium,and i've added ultra fine black glitter to her costume.I've given her a necklace and bracelet using midget gems.
The papers are DCWV from the "Glittered Alphabet Stack".
The ticket sentiment is by Inkadinkado from the "Paperwork Greetings" stamp set.
The large black faceted gems are from Hobby Craft.

Hi....it's my turn to host the challenge over at POLLYCRAFT this week,and i've set the theme of "EASTER".....so i would like to see anything to do with Easter,a card,Easter gift,bag...whatever it's up to you! For my card i've used a Sharing Sherbet image "Love Notes"...this image is just perfect for any occassion,you can add any sentiment you want to the letter she's holding (letters blank when you get the image)....the sentiment i've used is from a stamp set i picked up at the NEC ..."Sentiments and Greetings" by Tabbykat.....eleven stamps for £2,BARGAIN! I've coloured the image using Promarkers and Prisma's and added some glamour dust here and there. The papers are DCWV and the border as been cut using a Martha Stewart Doily punch. The flower i made using 3 different sized circles and a brad.... Today not only see's the start of a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT but a new release also...meet CHESTER...isn't he just the cutest monkey!...go check him out HERE.

LESS IS MORE WK 10....

Hi everyone....today's card is for the LESS IS MORE CHALLENGE,already into week 10...where have all those week's gone! Sadly i missed last week's challenge...the challenge this week is "A ONE LAYER CARD WITH THE SENTIMENT AS THE FOCUS". Firstly i printed my framed sentiment onto my cardstock and then cut the shaped card out using a die from the Spellbinders "Creative book pages"....the card measures 51/2" x 41/2". The sentiment is a Raindrop Echo Design digi download from WHIMSY STAMPS...."Framed circle swirls"...you get the frame with and without the sentiment....and can be resized to suit your needs. I then debossed an extra line either side of the image.....the black faceted gem's are from Hobby Craft and the ribbon from stash. Well that's short and sweet.... Today see's the start of a new challenge over at SKETCH SATURDAY....another fab sketch by Jo,i'm sure you'll agree! I've gone with a Sugar Nellie image "Verity standing" available as a digi image from Funky Kits...these are perfect for that much needed sugar rush :0). I've used Promarkers and Prisma's to colour and i've stamped around the image using a flourish stamp from HOTP. The sentiment is by Lilli Of The Valley...i don't think these are on the web site till alittle later on this month,picked mine up fron the NEC. The papers are My Minds Eye "Wild Asparagus"...forgot i'd got these,found them while searching for something else :0). I've cut the tiny flowers using a Xcut punch...ribbon,brads and self adhesive pearls from stash. Hi everyone....well the week's are just flying by,it's hard to think we're already into April,Christmas will be here before we know it!...LOL. Anyway it being Wednesday does mean it's time again for two new challenges....THE PAPER SHELTER and STAMPAVIE AND MORE. At THE PAPER SHELTER this week "Anything Goes" and at STAMPAVIE AND MORE we have a sketch for you to follow.....so why not combine the two challenges like i have! The image i've used is "I'm Coming!" from THE PAPER SHELTER,this week i've cheated,i've used a pre-coloured image...when you purchase any of the images you get a pre-coloured one aswell as a line image for you to colour....pre-coloured ones are great for when you need to make a quick card. The papers are all We R Memory Keepers "72 & Sunny". The sentiment i've done on the computer using Angelina font.....and the flowers i've been punched using Woodware and Xcut punches,gems fromstash. The lucky winner over at THE PAPER SHELTER will get a $15 gift certificate...the only rule is to be in the draw for the prize is to use a Paper Shelter image.

The sentiment is also WHIMSY STAMPS from the "Tickets Sentiments" set by Raindrop Echo Designs. Everything as been edged with Old Paper Distress Ink and the large pearls are from stash. Today see's the start of a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT.....and our host this week is Kylie,she's set the them of "old neglected image /stamp". For mine i've gone with one of the Cherry Kisses images "Fairy Socks"...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's and glamour dust to her wings. I've cut her out and raised her using glue gel onto a panel which i've embossed using a Creative Expressions "Dots"mask....i've sparkled the dots up using a Quickie glue pen and glamour dust. The sentiment is Lilli Of The Valley from the circular sentiments set "For You". I've made her wand using two different sized stars cut with Spellbinders star nesties and a large pearl pin....i've added glamour dust to the edge of the stars and around the sentiment too. The base card was cut using a 5X5 Go Kreate card making die....so the card is smaller than i would usually make. The prize up for grabs this week is today's brand new release "THE SWINGS AND SLIDES SET 2".....these are so cute i know you'll all love them!...and well worth joining in on the challenge for!

Hi everyone...today i have two DT cards to share with you...firstly SKETCH SATURDAY which this week Simonne's our host and what a fabby sketch she's come up with,thanks sweetie! We are also sponsored this week by WHIMSY STAMPS.....a brilliant company who i'm really honoured to be on the digital DT for.....Denise as been very generous this week with the prize on offer for the lucky winner,go check out what's up for grabs :0) The image i've used is a newly released MELJEN DESIGNS digi stamp "Victorian Shoe Daisies",coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,i've added midget gems to the center of the flowers and where the button trim is on the shoe. The papers are Bearlymine Designs ......"Paper Lace"....i was lucky to win the competition Donna was running to name this new collection last week so got this gorgeous download as my prize :0). The metal corner and ribbon slider i've toned down alittle using a black Promarker...they were alittle too bright. Ribbon and tiny pearls from stash. This cute little bear is one of Janets new digi images"Cupcake Teddy" and i've coloured her using Promarkers and Prisma's...i've added glossy accents and a pearl to the cupckae.

The paper and sentiment ticket are both PINK GEM DESIGNS....the "Gingham" paper download and the "Special Day calendar stamp".

I've used a Marianne Designs frame die,ribbon and self adhesive pearls from stash and the wooden hearts are Hobby Craft.

WHIMSY APRIL 1st DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP....

Hi and welcome to THE WHIMSY APRIL 1st DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP.....if you've arrived here from the lovely SYLVIA'S BLOG then you're in the right place,if not then you may want to go back to the start at THE WHIMSY INSPIRATIONS BLOG so that you don't miss anything along the way..... For my card i've used one of CRISSY ARMSTRONG'S new images "Bunny With Flowers"available to purchase along with so many more gorgeous images at WHIMSY STAMPS....now isn't he/she a cutie!....i think it's a she,she's far too pretty to be a boy don't you think :0),i've coloured the image using Promarkers and Prisma's,then cut it out and raised it up from the nestie circle using Pinflair glue gel. I've created my own embossed background using a Creative Expressions "Tulip" mask...after embossing,whilst the mask was still in place i rubbed chalk over the raised area's just to give alittle colour...not that you can see much of it now :0(. I don't know the make of the sentiment,it's one i had off Ebay many moon's ago. The fancy corner was made using a Marianne Designs corner die,and i've added some tiny pearls to set it off. The ribbon and larger pearls from ever growing stash mountain :0). LESS IS MORE WK 8.....SKETCH

It's week 8 over at LESS IS MORE....and this week there's a sketch to follow,don't you think that makes it even more simple :0)...i've rotated it hope that's ok,i've still used a DL size card. Sadly i missed last weeks challenge....sorry girls :0(. I've used a Xcut dimensional butterfly punch and then cut it out using Nested circle dies. The paper is SU, i wanted to add alittle colour and i think the pattern coming from the corner works well....i've added a black pearl to the center of the flower to add a touch of black to the paper,ribbon and other small black pearls on the butterfly from stash. The sentiment is from Elzybells...sadly no longer available. Well that was short and sweet Hope you all have a great day...i've off to get some much needed housework done,no crafting for me today :0(. Take care

Wednesday's rolled round yet again which mean's it's the start of two new challenges.....STAMPAVIE AND MORE...where the theme this week is to make a bag,and THE PAPER SHELTER....where the theme is "INSPIRED BY",like me i'm sure many of you Blog hop and along the way we spot a tremendous amount of talent out there and many of which make such a lasting impression we return to their blogs time after time for inspiration and idea's...well we would like you create a homage card/project for one of these talented peeps and link up the inspiration card in your blog post....lets show our fellow card makers some love by celebrating their talents.

I knew as soon as i saw the challenges who i would be linking up to....Deb,(Crafty card -i higgins)...she makes the most beautiful gift bags out of brown lunch bags,along with all her other gorgeous makes.I've wanted to have ago at creating one of these for ages now...so here it is!,not so fancy as Deb's but it is for a little boy :0).Check out this one by Deb HERE.

I've also followed the sketch over at CUTE CARD THURSDAY too....which just so happens to be one of Deb's...so mega talented!

The image i've used is from THE PAPER SHELTER ....."Easter Bunny",coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,i resized him to fit into the largest die from the Spellbinders Nested Eggs set.

All papers and the "EGGS" word are We R Memory Keepers "Hippity Hoppity",

The wooden letter tiles are from Hobby Craft and the brads are Basic Grey....everything including the letters have been edged with "Old Paper" Distress ink.

I've decorated the back using the same papers and layout minus the image.

Well it's late for me to be posting now but better late than never :0)...
I've used a newly released MELJEN DESIGNS digi image "Cuddle Bun Birthday" which can be purchased from WHIMSY STAMPS....i've used Promarkers and Prisma's for my colouring medium and added alittle glamour dust here and there.
I've given the bunny a tail using a small pom pom you use to apply chalks with.

Well today i've two cards to share with you....firstly my DT card for THE PAPER SHELTER,where this week the theme is "FLOWER POWER".....i've used one of the newly released images "Hippy Girl" coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's...no glamour dust today just some glossy accents added to her glasses.
The papers are Basic Grey "Offbeat"...i love these papers and i think these work perfect with the image :0).
The sentiment i created on the computer and i forgot to note down the font...sorry.
I've made some rolled up paper flowers and added a glittered brad to the two smaller ones.

I've followed this weeks sketch over at SKETCH AND STASH....and my new item is the image.

My second DT card is for STAMPAVIE AND MORE....the theme over there this week is "For a boy"...i've gone foe a very simple look with this one,i've used one of the Papermania Nostalgia stamps by John Byars "Football Mad"...this sort of image i think can be left uncoloured...a sketchy drawn look.
I've also gone with the monochrome look(Black & White),one of my all time favourite colour combo's....and Joanna Sheen gingham paper another favourite!...seems like lots of favourites going on here :0).
The sentiment is by Scrappy Cat and i've stamped in Vanilla Cupcake and heat embossed using a clear detail embossing powder.
The little footballs and goal are rubber 3d stickers i think i got from the Range.

I'M HERE FOR YOU....

Well i'm a day late posting my DT card for the new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT....were this week the theme is SWIRLS & PEARLS.....i wasn't too good yesterday and spent most of the day in bed...feeling better today i'm pleased to say :0).
For my card i've used one of the Crystal Fairies...... "Fairy 3" coloured with Copic markers and Prisma's.
I've added glamour dust to her wings and glossy accents to the heart she's holding.....i've also added alittle glamour dust to the punched out leaves.
The papers are Basic Grey "Two Scoops" and this is my swirl part of the challenge,flowers and pearls from stash....the flowers have been sprayed with Cosmic shimmer mist "Angel Mist".
The metal butterfly is off a set of earrings i got from Boots out of the sale....three sets of earrings each with 3 different charms on for £1...purchased especially for craft use.
The sentiment is MFT.

Good morning all....this card i'm posting today is yesterday's DT card for SKETCH SATURDAY....Jo's come up with another fabby sketch for us all to follow,hope you'll all come and join in the fun :0)
Now there's abit of a tale to this card...i'd coloured this POLLYCRAFT image for my DT card for the current challenge "Teen's" over at POLLYCRAFT,i'd sorted my papers too, only to discover "Tyler" had been retired....so i made another card for the challenge and decided to use this one on my SKETCH SATURDAY card....i think he's really cute :0)....so no link for you to purchase the image,but if you vistit POLLYCRAFT there's loads more fabby images to pop in your basket!
I've used Copic markers and Prisma's to colour and Old Paper Distress Ink around the image and the edge of the papers.
The papers are all Basic Grey "Archaic" and the sentiment is Auntum Leaves from the"Sentiments Circles" set.
I've added a cheap pair of earphones to embellish.

Jenny's our host again this week over at A GEM OF A CHALLENGE.....she's set the theme of "Anything but square"....right up my street...lol,i love shaped cards!,so was a perfect challenge for me...square can get alittle boring don't you think!
I've never made a flower-pot card before....but had always wanted to have a go,this stamp i think works perfect with it.
I made the card using the tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers....but increased the sizes to suit my stamp.
The stamp is "Sunflower Sprinkles" from PINK GEM DESIGNS,coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,and i've added some glamour dust to her wings.
I've also used two stamps from the new "Funky Flowers" set....the "Just for you" and the two butterflies which i've stamped onto the plain SU paper using Versafine "Vintage Sepia".
All the flowers have been punched using a Martha Stewart dimensional punch "Waterlilly"(large size),and with SU papers.
Self adhesive pearls and gems from stash,the ribbon is Anna Griffin.

The sentiment inside is by Inkadinkado from the "Expressions" set...and i've added a strip of the same SU paper i've used on the front of the pot....brings everything alltogether.

I've added a stand at the back of the pot so that it stands up.

Hi,hope you've come with your sun glasses...you may well need them today,my cards alittle on the bright side...but i like it!
It's to cover two challenges,well two DT challenges....i will be entering it into a couple others.
THE PAPER SHELTER this week have the theme "SPRING FLING" and STAMPAVIE AND MORE also have a "SPRING/EASTER" theme.
I've used one of the new images from THE PAPER SHELTER...."Dressed up as Easter bunny"...coloured using Copic markers and Prisma's,with just a touch of glamour dust to the bunny tail.
The papers are all We R MemoryKeepers "Hippity Hoppity" and so is the sentiment.
The fabric button is My Minds Eye,ribbon and pearls from stash.
The Easter eggs are solid beads i got my hubby to cut in half.

LESS IS MORE WK6...."OFF THE EDGE"....

This week over at LESS IS MORE the challenge is a one layer card "Off the edge".....well i was over the moon yesterday when my DT stamps arrived from PINK GEM DESIGNS and i could get to play and these i think are perfect for this weeks challenge.
The stamps i've used are all from Janet's new "FUNKY FLOWERS" set....they are gorgeous!...an A6 stamp set with no less than 10 stamps...these are a must have and brilliant if you like the CAS look.
I've used a Versafine "Imperial Purple" ink pad and stamped directly onto cream cardstock...the stems of the flowers are off the edge...the actual stamp is slightly longer.
To give you some sense of size of the stamps the cards are all 4x4...i've actually made 6...2 of each of the designs...a perfect set of notelets...only took a photo of the 3 different designs,and i couldn't really get a good photograph :0(. PLEASE CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO GET A BETTER LOOK.
The sentiment also comes from this same stamp set.
Gem's,button's and waxed thread from stash....the gem on the middle card looks more blue but it is a deep purple...must have been how the light was catching it.

Sheena's our host this week over at POLLYCRAFT.....and the theme she's set for us is "TEEN'S".
I somehow found this a difficult one...i couldn't come up with anything for a girl so i think i went with the easier option on this one....one for the lad's!
I've used "Ethan Rockstar"....coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,cut out and mounted onto the background square using Pinflair glue gel.
I used a Polka Doodles CD "Not For The Girls" for the background papers...i've printed onto super smooth cardstock 200gsm.
The textured cardstock is DCWV.
The star ribbon slider is Papermania,ribbon and brads from stash.....and i'm really not at all sure were the studded letters came from...i was happy when i found these in my bits and bobs box and even more so because they were just the colour i needed :0)...it's not very often everything falls into place so easily.

Morning all....weekend again,can someone tell me who's pinching the weeks!.....but it does mean that we have a new sketch for you over at SKETCH SATURDAY...and a fabby one it is too...thanks Jo.
I used one of the recently released MELJEN DESIGNS digi images..."Cherry Hedgehog",this along with so many more digi images can be purchased at WHIMSY STAMPS.
I've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring mediums...it's getting a bit boring,must have a change soon!I've added extra spikes to him using a Memento dual marker in Tuxedo Black,which i purchased from PINK GEM DESIGNS.

Today see's the start of two new challenges over at THE PAPER SHELTER and STAMPAVIE AND MORE....i've cheated again this week and made one card to cover the two.
The theme over at THE PAPER SHELTER is "Lucky charms"...so we would like you to use a charm/charms on your project.
STAMPAVIE AND MORE as the theme of "Birds"...
I've used this newly released fun image from THE PAPER SHELTER ...."The Cockatoo Is Watching",how cool is he!...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,cut out and raised up using Pinflair glue gel.
The papers are Basic Grey "Granola"...love the papers in this pad.
The sentiment was created on the computer using "Angelina" font.
The charm,brads waxed thread and pearls from stash.
Every layer as been edged with "Old Paper" Distress ink.

LESS IS MORE WEEK 5......PASTEL COLOURS.

Over at LESS IS MORE (Week 5) this week there's a colour theme of "PASTELS"....i so love the look of the cards produced on this challenge blog...just clean and simple but still so very gorgeous!
This is only the second time i've joined in the fun...i so wanted to enter this challenge weekly...so little time,so much to do!
I've gone again today for a shaped card,both the base card and the top layer have been cut using the largest die from the Spellbinders "Nested Eggs"die set...not a very big card at all,just a pretty little one maybe to give with an Easter egg or an Easter gift.
The patterned egg as been stamped using the largest stamp from the "Nestie Egg" set from Waltzing Mouse,the sentiment is also from this same set.
I've stamped using a Versamark Ink pad and then brushed Mica powders in pale pink,lilac and green over the stamped area,the same with the sentiment...looks really shimmery IRL .
I've added tiny self adhesive gems in the same colours just to give alittle interest...i wish i'd have used pearls now.
Finished off with some organza ribbon from stash.

"Fly Me To The Moon" is this week's theme over at POLLYCRAFT....and it's Paula's week to host,and she is also giving away 10 digi's to the lucky winner.....so well worth joining in!
When i first saw the challenge theme i can tell you my heart sank....i didn't really know what i was going to do....then i suddenly remembered this rocket template on one of my Polka Doodles CD's "Paper Boutique 3" and problem solved :0).
Both the rocket and the space papers are from this CD,i always print onto 160 or 200gsm super smooth cardstock....having said that i have just purchased some linen cardstock so will be having a go with that soon.
The POLLYCRAFT image is a new addition to the Critters & Cogs collection and this little chappie is "Nova"...i've coloured him using Promarkers and Prisma's,cut him out and 3d'd him using Pinflair glue gel.
The sentiment is also POLLYCRAFT from the Critters & Cogs "Sentiments" clear stamp set.

Well today's card is my DT card for yesterday's SKETCH SATURDAY....i decided to post it today instead of having two posts yesterday.
Cazza is our host this week and must say as come up with this fabby sketch...great sketch to work with.

Hi everyone....well it's Saturday again and that mean's we have a new challenge for you over at A GEM OF A CHALLENGE....we had a brilliant response to our last challenge,so a big thank you to all who came over and joined us in the fun!
This week our host is Jenny and she's come up with a fabby sketch for you to follow...
I've used a digi image of Janet's this week "Ella"...what a cutie she is,coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's...the papers are also from PINK GEM DESIGNS....from the "Cutie Pie" collection and were a perfect match for my image.
The silver/grey textured cardstock is Papermania as is the sentiment too....which i've stamped out using a "London Fog" Memento Ink pad...blends better with the card rather than me using a black ink pad which would have stuck out like a sore thumb :0).
For the border i've used a Martha Stewart punch....i must use my punches more often and the flowers have been cut using several Woodware,Ek succes and Xcut punches....i've spritzed the white flowers with a Cosmic Shimmer mist "Angel"..this is just perfect with my colour scheme,the shimmer changes from silvers to pinks...just gorgeous IRL,you may just be able to see it in the photo.
The swirls and corner were also cut with punches....Ribbon is Anna Griffin and gem brads and self adhesive pearls from stash.

The papers are all Basic Grey "Eva" and "Urban Prairie" and the sentiment was done on the computer using "Shelly Thin" font....i wanted it to look like a childs handwriting and i think this does.
The flowers are Petaloo and mixture of brads and gems are from stash.

Another week's rolled by....and that mean's it's time for two new challenges over at THE PAPER SHELTER and STAMPAVIE AND MORE.

Hi and welcome to the WHIMSY MARCH 1st DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP....if you've arrived here from ANNEKE'S BLOG then you're in the right place,if not then you may want to start at THE WHIMSY INSPIRATIONS BLOG so that you don't miss anything along the way.
For my card i've gone with one of Crissy Armstrong's new digi releases "In The Dog House"...most of the image i've coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's....i've paper pieced the kennel with wood effect paper...not sure where i got this download from :0(.I printed the image off 3 times because i wanted to layer the dog up and give hime a 3D effect,so that he really is popping his head out of the kennel.
I put glossy accents on his nose,not showing too good in the photo.....for the sentiment "In the dog house" i used Doodlebug rub-ons "All Mixed Up" and the "Sorry" was hand written.
The background for the kennel i created with chalks.....and the flowers were cut using Woodware and Xcut punches.

Hi....today i've a card to share with you that i've made to cover two of my DT challenges.....Wednesday see's the start of two new theme's both at THE PAPER SHELTER,where this week the theme is "SEEING RED" and at STAMPAVIE AND MORE,where the theme is "WELCOME"
The image i've used is from THE PAPER SHELTER,from the "Mushrooms" set...you get three different images in this set...but i somehow rather liked the shape of this one :0).
I've used Copic markers and Prisma's as my colouring medium and i've added some glossy accents to the spots.
For the house number i used Doodlebug rub-ons,and the sentiment was made on the computer using "Angelina" font.
The fence was cut using a Xcut die,key charm,ribbon and ladybird from stash.
The backing paper is off a Bearlymine CD "Designer Extreme Vol 2".

LESS IS MORE..WEEK 3.."SPRING"

Hi everyone....today's card is alittle different from my usual,i decided to join in on the LESS IS MORE CHALLENGE,it's a theme week this week "SPRING".....and this sentiment of Ann's (Raindrop Echo Designs) is just perfect for that theme,the sentiment is from the "Spring Sentiments" set and can be purchased from WHIMSY STAMPS.
I sized the sentiment to suit my needs and printed directly onto my cardstock,i used slightly textured cardstock,i then used my Scrollwork Frame embossing folder to frame it and to add little dimension to my card.
I added a touch of colour to the flower using Prisma Pencils and finished off with a self adhesive gem to the center.
I've added some some stretchy silver elastic across the top and tied a bow...not sure about this may take it back off....what do you think...leave it on or take it off ?.

WEDDING DAY WISHES.....

Monday again already...where's the weekend gone!and a wet,grey and dull one at that,looks like i will be doing alittle crafting then :0).
On to the card,which i'm not too happy with....today starts a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT,hosted this week by Marit,she's set the theme of DIAMONDS AND PEARLS....lovely theme and i'm sure loads of you will join us on this one.
For my card i've used an image from one of the mini dooodles sets "MR and MRS".....there's no colouring but i've added plenty of glamour dust...so lots of sparkle (which is not showing up in the photo).
I've used two Craft Concept embossing folders to create the background...."In Stitches" and "Gem Flourish"...to the in stiitches one i've added self adhesive gem stones and the other one i've used the embossing as a guide for my self adhesive pearls....i think it's this part of the card i'm not too happy with.
The sentiment is also from the same mini doodles set and ribbon from stash to finish.

FOREVER MEMORIES.....

Hi everyone...today i'd like to share my DT card for STAMPAVIE AND MORE....the new challenge started yesterday and the theme this week is " MONOCHROME "......now this always say's to me either black and white or sepia,i've gone this time for the latter.
And sepia to me anyway speaks vintage...not that i'm good at vintage,i love the look that alot of you achieve...but mine always look a jumbled mess :0(.
The old photo's i've used are actually La Blanche rub-ons...these are brilliant and do IRL look like proper old photo's...purchased at an amazing price from the QVC outlet at £1.99 for 12 different sheets,i've had them for some time now...i knew i'd get to use them eventually!
All cardstock including the script is Kanban...every layer i've distressed with a distressing tool and Walnut Stain Distress Ink....well to be honest everything on the card as had the distress treatment....messy but fun!
The stamps i've used are "Classified Ad's" and "Ticket Sentiments" (the blank one from the set) both from WHIMSY STAMPS......and the "Forever" and "Memories" sentiments are from a Royal Langnickel friends set.
All other bits and bobs are from my stash...pearls,chain and beads etc.....

"BUTTONS AND BOW'S".....is the theme for the very first challenge over at THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE BLOG.
A few weeks back i was one of the lucky one's to be picked to be on the DT at THE PAPER SHELTER,and get to work with these fabby images...now if you've never heard of THE PAPER SHELTER you must head on over there and check out the gorgeous images,i know you'll just love them and such reasonable prices too :0).
For my card i just had to use "The Mad Hatter"....such a fun image and a dream to colour.
I've used Copic markers and Prisma's and added a touch of glamour dust to one of the cups and a dotted line coming from the teapot.
The cardstock is all DCWV,the patterned one is from "Animal Crackers" glittered cardstock stack.
The sentiment which i think works perfectly with this image is from Waltzing Mouse Stamps....from the "Frame It" set.

I've gone with one of Paula's new images "Delphine Cocktails"....a perfect image for all of those milestone birthday's.
I've coloured her using Promarkers and Prisma's...my favourite colouring mediums and i've added a touch of glamour dust to her dress,bag and bracelet.I've 3d'd her and the No 0 (which was cut on the Cricut using Plantin Schoolbook cartridge)using Pinflair glue gel.For the numbers i used DCWV Glitter cardstock stack and i run around the edge of each with a black permanent marker so that they would stand out from the background paper.....which is from a free download from Summertime Designs "Limeade".

Buttons and Lace.....that's the theme over at STAMPAVIE AND MORE this week,i just couldn't resist using this new image from The Paper Shelter.... "In The 20's"...isn't she a cutie!,i've coloured her using Copic markers and Prisma's,i've added just a touch of glamour dust and then cut her out and raised her from the base card using Pinflair glue gel.
The double sided cardstock is Anna Griffin which i've edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
The die cut circle she's standing on is from a new Marianne Designs circles die set and i've added some tiny self adhesive pearls to the centers of the embossed flowers.
I've made the lace flower in the corner and added a button and waxed thread.

Well the weekends over again...the start of a new week and a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT,our host this week is Maria and she's drawn up a fabby sketch for you to follow and she would also like you to include a "LOVE" theme in your project.
For my card i decided to do something alittle different....i've used Marianne Design dies...Forest Branch,which i added colour to using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Tunis Bird Cage as my focal point.
The bird image which i've paper pieced is from the "Love Naturally" mini doodles set i cut off is tail and added a feather instead.
The paper is from a Bearlymine CD "Designer Extreme Vol 1".For the sentiment i used Doodlebug rub-ons "All Mixed Up" in white.

We have a new challenge starting to day over at STAMPAVIE AND MORE.....this week we would like you to make a "CRISS-CROSS" card.
I've used one of my new images "Dr Pepe L'Souris" from THE PAPER SHELTER....coloured him using Promarkers and Prisma's,then i've cut him out and raised him using Pinflair glue gel,just to give alittle dimension to the card.
The gingham papers i've had for ages from Joanna Sheen...i must say i love using gingham :0).
For the sentiment i used Doodlebug rub-ons "All Mixed Up"in both small and medium sizes.
The file tab was punched out using a Anna Griffin punch...after i'd adhered the paper to card to give it more body.

WHIMSY FEBRUARY DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP....

Hi and welcome to the WHIMSY FEBRUARY DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP...If you've arrived here from LISA'S BLOG then you're in the right place,if not you may want to start at THE WHIMSY INSPIRATION BLOG so that you don't miss anything along the way.
For my card i decided to go for a CAS look...i've used Crissy Armstrong's new "Heart solid",which i've resized to suit my needs and printed it out seven times...i've then cut each one out and layered four on the bottom flat and the top three i've raised using dimensional foam pads...i've coloured just one using a Copic marker and added a satin ribbon bow.
The sentiment is also a new release today from Ann Vento (Raindrop Echo Designs),from the "I Heart You" sentiments set....again you can resize these to suit your project....this is the beauty of digital images.
I've added self adhesive pearls from stash mountain :0).

BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE.....

Hope you've all had a fab weekend...Monday see's the start of a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT.....Lisa's set the theme this week "BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE"...and baby it is today!...it's white over with thick frost here!
I've used "Penguin Love" coloured with Copic markers and Prisma's.
The embossed hearts panel down the front was done with a Crafts Too embosssing folder.
The paper is from a download from A Cherry On The Top...."A Lil Birdy Loves Me"
The three hearts at the bottom have been cut using a Spellbinders heart die and the tiny buttons are Cosmo Cricket.

The sentiment on the front and on the inside (above photo) of the card have been done on the computer with "Angelina" font.I've also added a few little hearts...waste from a Fiskars border punch.

The background paper(Far Far Away) was printed onto 160gsm cardstock from a Bearlymine Designs CD...." Designer Extreme Vol.1".....just perfect for this image,well i think so :0).
The sentiment was computer generated using Angelina font.

Over at SKETCH SATURDAY we have a new sketch for you to have fun with...i loved working with this one Jo...thanks hun!
I just had to use one of Paula's (POLLYCRAFT) new Valentine images...Maurice"Hot Stuff" and i think those boxers may have worked...watch this space,he may have a other half soon :0)
I've coloured him using Promarkers and Prisma's.
The papers are Pink Petticoat "Just An Old Fashioned Girl".
For the word hot i've used white Doodlebug rub-ons "All Mixed Up"..the hearts i've rubbed them onto have been cut using the Spellbinders heart dies.
The tiny hearts are the waste out of a Fiskars border punch and the scalloped border down the side is also a Fiskars border punch "Threading Water".

As always on a Thursday over at WHIMSY STAMPS we have 5 new digital images from Melissa (Meljen Designs) and this week they're all based on the "Love" theme.....
These images can be Flipped,rotated and resized to suit your project...that's what so good when working with digi's.
I've gone with the "Conversation Hearts" image,which i printed out 3 times...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's and then decided to cut the actually hearts out and layer them up using Pinflair glue gel.
Now these reminded me so much of the love heart sweets that i rang my hubby up at work and asked him to bring me a packet/roll of them home for me....for photographic purposes only...lol.
All the heart shapes that make up the actual easel card have been cut using Spellbinders Heart and Scalloped Heart dies...and there's two fancy ones underneath...you can just about see them popping out are Nellies multi frame dies.
The gingham bow and heart buttons are from stash.

Don't you think photographing these easel cards are hard work....so difficult to get a good picture,well to be fair i'm not that brilliant at photo's of normal shape cards...lol.

I'm not too sure whether i like the way this card as turned out...i've had a go at stamping and colouring on to kraft card,i've used Promarkers and Prisma's,but i'm not really over the moon with it!....the jury's out on this one...what do you think?
The stamp which is a High Hopes one "Bubble Love" i've had for an age and never used it,shame on me...lol,infact i'd forgot i'd got it,i found it while searching for something else.

Well it's the start of a brand new week...and we have a brand new challenge for you over at POLLYCRAFT....and i'm pleased to say i'm the host for this week,i've set a colour theme of BLACK,WHITE + 1 OTHER COLOUR (your choice of 3rd colour)...this is my all time favourite colour combo,i think almost any colour works well with black and white....i've gone for lime...love it!
I've used "Fluffy" from the Critters and Cogs digi range...such a big softy :0)...i've coloured him using Copic markers and Prisma's,cut him out and raised him using Pinflair glue gel...i've given him two different sizes of wobbly eyes just to add alittle interest.
The papers are a free download from Summertime Designs "Limeade"...i just love these papers...i print onto super smooth cardstock 160 or 200gsm...this time 200gsm.
I've used Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to edge the papers and around the sentiment....the sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse Stamps from the "Rescue Remedies Additions" set.

Hi.....yesterday i had some spare time on my hands and needed to unwind so decided i'd colour another one of the new Adorables "Grace Standing" from Sugar Nellie...i've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium.
The papers are K & Co "McKenna"....i've distressed each layer using a distressing tool and then used "Old Paper" Distressing Ink to go over the edge.
The sentiment is off a set from Debbi Moore......everything else from stash.

I've used the sketch over at the SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE.....this week it's by Kiki.with the optional theme of Birthdays.

Hi everyone....today's the day for a new challenge over at STAMPAVIE and MORE,this week the theme is "GLITTER",we would like to see some sparkle on your card/project.
For my card i've gone for one of the new MELJEN DESIGNS pre-coloured images "Frog Prince"available at WHIMSY STAMPS.....these precoloured images are just perfect when you're in need of a quick card and don't forget these can be flipped,rotated and resized to suit your needs.
I printed the image off twice and cut him out so that i could give him some dimension.i 3d'd him using glue gel....i glittered the heart in the background using glamour dust.
The papers are Basic Grey "Urban Prairie"....the letters are from a Brenda Pinnock set i purchased from QVC many moons ago...i've also glittered these using glamour dust.
The velvet ric rac is Anna Griffin and the gem brad is Dovecraft.

For my card i knew i had to use this new image of Chrissy Armstrongs "Dance Of Love"....this is just so adorable,brilliant work as always Chrissy.I've coloured the image with Promarkers and Prisma's....i've covered the whole of horse's body with glamour dust really sparkly IRL.
The sentiment is also a new release today from the "Love Sentiments" collection by Ann (Raindrop Echo Designs)....and just perfect i think for this image.
Don't forget you can rotate and resize all the digi images/sentiments to suit your needs.
The paper is from a new download set from Pink Gem Designs "Hearts" just perfect for Valentines...and comes in 20 different colours,on offer at the moment at just £1.35..BARGAIN!

SNOW LOVED.....

Hi everyone....well today i'd like to share my DT card for STAMPAVIE and MORE....this week our challenge is "Snowmen",now i know what you're all thinking,she must be mad making Christmas cards already...well there's nothing like starting early...LOL.
I decided to go with a Sugar Nellie stamp "Snow Loved"...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's.....and just added alittle stickles for the snow.
The papers are DCWV from the "Christmas Wishes" stack.
The panel of green cardstock behind the image i've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder "Snowflakes"....once embossed i rubbed over the raised parts with a sanding block to reveal the white core underneath,so looking like real snow :0).
The ribbon i recycled from a Christmas gift and self adhesive pearls from stash.

For my layout i've followed the sketch by Marlene over at the SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE....must say a dream to work with,i did rotate it so that i could go with this image,the optional extra is embossing (green panel behing image).

I'm also entering this into the following challenges :-

Firstly i'd like to wish you all "A HAPPY NEW YEAR" and hope 2011 brings you everything you wish for!....hope you're not too hung-over this morning,and if you did celebrate last night that you had a good one!
Jilli's our host this week for our first sketch of 2011 over at SKETCH SATURDAY....fab sketch Jilli i enjoyed working with it :0),and our sponsor this week is CREATE WITH TLC,a great prize up for grabs for one lucky winner...
I decided to make a mans card for a change...the stamp i've used is by Creative Expressions from the Murray & Ethel set 1 set,the sentiment is also from the same set.I've coloured the image using Promarkers and Prisma's.
The papers and cardstock are DCWV...and the flag i made from a cocktail stick and some self adhesive glossy paper.
The brads are Basic Grey.

PARTY...CELEBRATE!

Well hope you've all had a fab Christmas...i've had a quite one but nice....and after the New year celebrations we will all be getting back to normal (is there a normal...lol) :0).
First card after Christmas is for the weekly Thursday release over at WHIMSY STAMPS for Meljen Designs....Melissa's come up with another five fab digital images this week it was so hard for me to decide which one i wanted to play with :0)...in the finish i went with the "Birthday cupcake",this could also be used to celebrate the New year....hence the sentiment i've used which is also available from WHIMSY STAMPS from the "Circle Postmark Sentiments"...the inside of the card can then read either "it's your Birthday" or "it's New year".
I've used Copic markers and Prisma's as my colouring medium and added lots of glamour dust for plenty of sparkle.....i've also added tiny self adhesive pearls to the topping on the cupcake.
The stars have been cut using a Spellbinders star die set and have also been glamour dusted around the edge before layering with 3d foam pads for alittle dimension.
The shaped base card was cut using a Go Kreate die and the image was cut using a Spellbinders labels die.

I'm also entering this card into SIMON SAY'S STAMP CHALLENGE....where this week the theme is "Time to party/Celebrate.

Well not long to wait now for the big day.....hope you're all ready and waiting :0).
Today see's a new challenge at STAMPAVIE and MORE....the theme this week is "RED".
For my card i went with this gorgeous LOTV stamp "Christmas Candle"...coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's...i've added some glamour dust to the trim of her hood and to her scarf and some stickles round her feet for the snow....lots of lovely sparkle.
The papers are DCWV "Christmas stack"
The sentiment is a metallic foil rub-on by Royal & Langnickel and the lovely gem organzer ribbon my hubby came back with from Hobbycraft he say's they're half price....he came back with a lovely bundle of goodies for me :0).
The selk adhesive gems are from stash.

Well today see's our last sketch of 2010 over at SKETCH SATURDAY....and must say a fabby sketch to end the year with Jo :0).
It's also Catherine's last week with us...she's decided to step down from her DT post,we are all sad to see this lovely lady go....all the best Catherine.

Now on to my little bit of exciting news :0)...well it is for me anyway!....i had an email from Janet (Pink Gem Designs) asking if i would like to be GDT for her for 3 months...well as you can see from my card what the answer was...and it didn't take me that long to make my mind up....lol
This gorgeous stamp i've used is "Ollie and Gingerbread man" (Pink Gem Designs),coloured using Copic markers and Prisma's...i've added alittle glamour dust but only on the stars around him.
All patterned and plain cardstock is from the Martha Stewart "Frosty Gingerbread"pad....just perfect with this image...well i think so :0).
The sentiment is Elzybells....no longer available :0(,i've added alittle glamour dust to this too.

BUNDLED LITTLE SNOWBOY.....

Well today see's another release day from Melissa (Meljen Designs)...another 5 gorgeous images which can be flipped,rotated and sized to suit your needs...these along with so many more lovely images can be purchased from WHIMSY STAMPS.
I went for "Bundled Little Snowboy" for my card,coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's and lots of glamour dust and stickles :0)....plenty of sparkle!
The cardstock is Martha Stewart from the "Frosty Gingerbread" pad.
The snowflakes have been cut using a Marianne Design snowflakes die set...and the snowflake button from stash as is the waxed thread.
The three pom poms which i wanted to look like snowballs are those you use to apply chalks.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS....

It's time for another challenge over at STAMPAVIE AND MORE and this week we would like you to make a gift....
I'd never had a go at decorating a candle before with a stamped image so decided it was about time i did....for my image i used one of Melissa's (Meljen designs) coloured digital images "Caroling Snowmen",available to purchase from WHIMSY STAMPS....i printed it out onto tissue paper like you would stamp an image onto the tissue...the beauty with this image was it was already coloured and i could also print it to the exact size i wanted...(i secured the tissue to a sheet of printer paper).
Everythings the same cut around the image as close as possible hold secure with wax paper?greaseproof paper and heat with a heat gun.
I've added loads of stickles to the image and some pearls for buttons.
The bottom of the candle i've trimmed with glittery ribbon and a ribbon slider.

I cut an aperture out of the box i made and put some acetate in it so that you could see the candle....on the box around the aperture i've put some more stickles for even more sparkle.
The large tag closing the box together was created with a Spellbinders "Heirloom Ornaments" die and exactly the same caroling snowmen image that i used on the candle only a tiny version.
The silver foiled "Happy Christmas" sentiment is a Royal & Langnickel rub-on.

BABY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS...

Well it's the beginning of a new week again....and it being Monday means it's time for a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT.....this week the theme's been picked by Jane and she would like a "WHITE CHRISTMAS"....all white card(colour only the image)or snowy/winter scenes....
To be honest i'm alittle sick of making Christmas cards now so went for a hanging ornament....i love this image from Pollycraft "Willie" so decided to go with "Baby's first Christmas",the image i've coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's...i printed the image twice so that i could 3d the top and hat which i did using glue gel.
For the ornament i used a Spellbinders "Snowflake frame" die...cut this out 3 times and mounted each layer using 3d dimensional foam pads,the image as been cut using the inner die of the frame and also raised using the foam pads.
While the frames were still in the die i went over the top with a Versamark ink pad and then brushed over with a silver mica powder...this then catches just the embossed parts...giving it a lovely sheen but not captured very good in the photo.
I've added alittle glamour dust to the stars and around the base of the image...again not showing too good in photo :0(.
I made the tassel using embroidery thread...i had every colour tassel except white
Ribbon,button and self adhesive pearls from stash.

The above photo shows the reverse side to which i added a small verse which i found on the internet....the font i used is "Chocolate Box".again the verse panel's been raised and some self adhesive pearls added.

I would like to thank all who joined us last week on the challenge and hope you can all join in this time too....this challenge will run for 4 weeks so plenty of time....our next challenge will be 10 January....we are also looking for some GD so if you're interested when you enter your card/project just add GD to your name in the inlinkz.

Morning everyone.....well with just two weeks now untill the big day,hope you are all ready!....
Todays card is my DT card for SKETCH SATURDAY....fabby sketch once again this week from JO.....thanks hun,and we are sponsored this week by SIMON SAYS STAMP....great prize up for grabs for one lucky winner :0).
No colouring on my card today,decided to do alittle heat embossing...well i wanted to use this stamp and thought it was the perfect technique for it.The stamp is by La Blanche and i got it in a set from QVC many moons ago but i hadn't got round to using it...like so many other stamps in my draw!
The script cardstock is Kanban,the gold cardstock is DCWV and the deep red leather look is from stash.
The sentiment is from Pink Gem Designs...i love the font on this stamp,i've also heat embossed this with the same Hampton Art embossing powder as i've used on the image.
The corners around the image which i've used to form a frame are from a Marianne Designs die.
I've used some Petaloo "Sweet Petites"flowers and punched out some leaves using a L-Em punch.
The tassel,ribbon and self adhesive pearls are from stash.

Hi everyone....we have a new challenge for you today over at STAMPAVIE and MORE...the theme this week is "Christmas"...hope you will come and join in and a big thank you to all who took up the challenge last week :0).
For my card this week i've used a freebie image and paper from CUDDLY BUDDLY....such a cute snowman,i've coloured him using Promarkers and Prisma's and added the all important glamour dust...you can't have Christmas without some sparkle...lol.
The sentiment is from a Daisy and Dandelion clear stamp set.
The button brads are HOTP and all other embellishments from bit box.

IT'S CHRISTMAS!

I'm alittle late posting today...you know how it is sometimes life and stuff just as a habit of getting in the way!...never mind lets get down to the card :0).
Today we have a new challenge over at POLLYCRAFT,and the theme this week's been choosen by LYNSEY,she would like you to use the colours PINK/BLUE and BROWN.....gorgeous colour combo i'm sure you'll agree!
MY image obviously is a POLLYCRAFT one....Bronson and Beaker "Gifts Galore"...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's and a touch of glamour dust...just to add a little sparkle!This image plus loads of other Christmas images are on special at 1/2 price...so go grab some bargains :0).I printed the image off twice because as you can see from the photo i've added some extra presents as embellishments.
The paper was printed from a Colour My World CD "Winter Wonderland" and the textured cardstock is DCWV.
The sentiment is from a Daisy and Dandelion Christmas clear stamp set.

ANYTHING BUT A CARD....

Anything but a card is this weeks challenge for you over at JUST CUTE BEARS and FRIENDS....this challenge will untill Jan 2nd so you've plenty of time to join in....look forward to seeing what you come up with.
I decided to make a snow globe....well not actually the snow globe but to decorate the inside,these are photo snow globes readily available and cheap to buy on the high street...i got mine from Home Bargains £1.29.

I've used one of the new Meljen images "Penguins Little Letter",coloured with Copic markers and Prisma's and a little glamour dust for extra sparkle.

This image along with so many other gorgeous ones can be purchased from WHIMSY STAMPS...digi images are just perfect,they can be rotated,flipped,resized...so many options.

The other side of the snow globe i've added a sentiment from the "Season's Greetings" set by Ann (Raindrop Echo Designs)....again perfect for resizing to suit your needs,and can also be purchased from WHIMSY STAMPS.

Well it's that time of the week again....Saturday,which mean's we have another fabby sketch for you over at SKETCH SATURDAY...i'ts been created by one of the DT Terry...lovely sketch i so loved working with it...thank-you Terry :0).
I've used another of the pre-coloured digital images "Touched By Love" by the very talented Chrissy Armstrong,you can purchase this image along with many others at WHIMSY STAMPS.The sentiment is also a digital stamp from WHIMSY by Ann (Raindrop Echo Designs) from one of the new releases "Seasons Greetings",these are just perfect...resize to suit your needs.
I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the background...the tree strips of paper were out of my scrap box not sure were from.
The dies i've used are Spellbinders "Heirloom Ornaments" and Marianne Designs corner die.....everything as been edged with Old Paper Distress Ink.
