........HEARTFELT WISHES.......

Well it's my last week as GDT over at POLLYCRAFT,i would like to say a huge "THANK YOU" to Paula and her lovely team for having me on board for the month of August :0).
This week the challenge theme as been set by Lynsey...and she would like you to "Add some nature" to your card/project...lovely challenge Lynsey,i so enjoyed this one!


Something alittle different,i've seen this technique of "spotlighting" on one or two blogs and have wanted to have a bash at it...so decided this would be the perfect challenge and image for me to experiment with...and i must say i'm pleased with the end result.
The image is from the Pollycraft set "Love Naturally"....i changed the print out colour from black to sepia and printed the image out twice.I then coloured the heart shaped leaves with Promarkers on the one image and cut the heart shape out using Spellbinders Heart Nesties,3d mounted it directly over the same part of the below image.
The sentiment is from the same set and i also changed the colour of the print out to sepia.
The textured cardstock is DCWV and buttons from stash.
I've edged the layers with "Old Paper" Distress Ink.

MERRY CHRISTMAS.....ALITTLE EARLY!

Hi....it's time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEARS,and this week we would like to see "EMBOSSING" on your card/project,now this can be any sort of embossing and the only other rule is you must use a cute bear image...now that's no hardship is it!......

This week due to the theme i decided to keep it pretty simple....i always think and this is just my opinion that embossing done on white card always looks classy and tends to show the embossing off perfectly.

I've used two embossing folders.....Cuttlebug "Graces Frame" and Papermania "Christmas Borders".

The image is one of the new Christmas images from Pollycraft "Kiki Gifts"....coloured with Copic's and Prisma's for alittle added shading.

The sentiment i purchased from Ebay when i first started making cards,and ribbon from stash.

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY......

Well it's that time of the week again...Saturday and time for a new sketch over at SKETCH SATURDAY,and boy as Jo come up with a beauty this week,a joy to work with...thanks Jo.
This isn't a colour scheme i normally go for and really all happened by accident :0),i didn't plan how my card would look it just all come together somehow...as if by magic...LOL!


The image is LOTV "Fairies-On Tiptoe"...i've had this stamp since it's release and never got round to inking it up...shame on me!...such a gorgeous image and a dream to colour.
I've used Copic's and Prisma's as my colouring medium and added some crystal Stickles to her wings,flowers and the ground...every fairy needs alittle sparkle!
The paper is Basic Grey "Euphoria",and the textured cardstock is DCWV.
The sentiment is Personal Impressions.
The flowers are from Hobbycraft.
The self adhesive pearls are from the Hobby House.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY MOM....JUNE19th,1929 - AUGUST 27th,2009

Well it's been twelve months mom....where's the time gone,it seem's like yesterday i've found it hard to move on!

What i would give for just one more day with you...just to have a cuppa and a chat like we used to do!...i've still got our cups mom.

I found this verse on the net,it's just perfect.

SWEET CHRISTMAS DREAMS....

For my GDT card this week over at POLLYCRAFT i've gone for making another Christmas card...another one less to think about :0)...they're building up slowly!
The challenge theme this week is a recipe......3 papers,2 buttons and 1 charm,and as been picked this week by Sheena.

The image and papers i've used all come from the same Pollycraft set "Sweet Christmas Dreams",i've coloured the image using Promarkers and Prisma's,added some glamour dust to the snowflakes and flocking to the trims on cape/dress.
The buttons are the two snowflakes and i've added diamond stickles to these for some extra sparkle.
The charm and self adhesive pearls are from stash.
I'm going to enter this into another challenge THE SHABBY TEA ROOM....where the theme is "A little bit of metal".

Well that's about it for now,have a lovely day whatever you've got planned...me i need to tackle my mountain of ironing :0(.

KIKI WITH CAKES.....

Another weeks gone by...who pinched last week?...lol,never enough days in a week lately!
But it mean's one thing it's Sunday again and time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEARS...this week we would like to see PINK and BROWN on your card/project....now that's an easy one...such a lovely colour combo!


For my card i've used a Pollycraft digital image "Kiki with cakes",coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's.
The papers are a download from The Creative Cottage "Something Sweet"......just the perfect colours for this weeks challenge.I've added little dots of glamour dust to the plain pink paper...just because...lol.
The flowers i've punched from the same papers using two sizes of Ek Success "Retro" flower punches and the tiny flowers i've used in the centers are punched with a Xcut one.

SKETCH SATURDAY....AUGUSTUS THE DRAGON...

It's that time of the week again.....Saturday which means it's time for another challenge over at SKETCH SATURDAY...another fabby sketch by Jo this week,hope you will come and play along with us...a big thank you to all who took up the challenge last week we had some fantastic creations :0)...we look forward to seeing what you all do with the sketch this week!

Our sponsor this week is DIGITAL DELIGHTS....and we were lucky enough to be given some fabby images to play with...as you can see i decided to use Augustus the dragon...isn't he a cutie!.I've coloured him using Copic markers and shaded alittle with a black Prisma pencil.I've added glossy accents to his spots and end of his tail but that's not showing up in the photo.

The paper is Basic Grey "Archaic" which i've coloured in places with the green and orange Copic's i've used on the image to bring everything together alittle better.

The sentiment is Cuddly Buddly...Puppy's Greetings.

The footprints are from the "Dino" stamp set by Basic Grey.

The brads are also Basic Grey...the three on the bottom are made using the Papermania Brad making set and two metal buttons.
