PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE 12...STARS AND STRIPES

Penny Black Challenge 12 this week is "STARS AND STRIPES".
I've used a stamp from the T for Transparent set "Christmas Critters",coloured in with prisma's,sansador and paper stumps,and a touch of glamour dust round the cuff of the mitt,i've then cut this into a star shape,matted and layered using nestabilities and then 3d'd onto the card.
The papers are both HOTP Christmas pad,over from last year.
Sentiment is from See D's "Magical Christmas"set,attached with star shaped brads from stash.
I've finished off with a small hatpin embellishment which i made,and some satin ribbon from my stash...this makes 3 Christmas cards only another 103 to go...lol

CUTE CARD THURSDAY...IN THE WATER !

Over at Cute Card Thursday this week,Challenge 25 is "In The Water !"...for this one i've used one of my new stamps from Joanna Sheen "Messy Rabbit",coloured with prisma's,sansador and paper stumps,i've used 3d gloss on the water with a sprinkling of something similar to flowersoft to resemble a bit of a soapy lather.
The back ground scene i printed from Crafters Companion "Cute Companions",i cut the rabbit out once coloured and mounted him on 3d pads,so give alittle dimension to the card.
The sentiments,"splash out" is a stamp from the same "Messy Rabbit" set and it's your birthday was done using Doodlebug rub-ons.
A quick and simple card,i hadn't got much time to play....

A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR,CHALLENGE 14....3 DIFFERENT RIBBONS

3 Different ribbons is challenge 14 at A Spoon Full Of Sugar this week.Everyone seems to be making Christmas cards,you are all making me panic...lol,so for this challenge that was what i decided on,this will make 2 under my belt.

The stamp is one of the new Christmas Stamps from Cuddly Buddly,coloured with prisma's,sansador,paper stumps and H20's.The sentiment stamp also Cuddly Buddly.

The papers are printed from a Funky Hand CD "Yule Be Funky".

Finished with 3 different ribbons across the middle,puffy snowflakes,which i've coloured to blend with the colour scheme and star gems from my stash.

STAMP WITH SARAH KAY,SKETCH 9....

Right down to it... i love old sepia photo's and for a while i've been wanting to have a go at reproducing that look and vintage feel into a card...so hey presto one sepia card.

FIRST KABOODLE CHALLENGE....

This week see's the start of a new challenge site,"The Kaboodle Challenge",and to start everyone off there are some free downloads to use to make your card for the challenge.There are 4 papers and 2 sheets of emblishments for you to pick from.
I decided on the 2 different black ,red and white options,my challenge i set myself was to use only what i had been supplied with and no other image,this to me is how it should be...
I printed out on linen effect card,but really the photo hasn't picked this up very good,i wanted some texture,punched 4 squares,2 of each of the contrasting patterns and joined them together to form a large square,the frame over this was the pieces i had left from my penny black bottle tag,which i layered one on top of the other and then 3d'd at an angle.
I cut parts of the remaining paper to form petals for the flower in the centre,and for the corners on the frame.
I finished off with a Pink Petticoat sentiment cut out with a tag punch,and gems from Hobbycraft.

PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE 11...NO CARDS ALLOWED

Penny Black Challenge 11 this week...."NO CARDS ALLOWED"....I decided to do a wine bottle neck tag.a nice way to give a bottle of wine as a gift...
For this i used Penny Black 12 days of Christmas,the french hen,coloured with prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities.The sentiments stamps are by Crafty Secrets.
Flowers are Flora Doodles,ribbon from Poppicrafts,buttons and flower gem from stash...
I'm really pleased with the overall effect.

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS...CHALLENGE 30

I've been wanting to join in on this challenge for a few weeks,so decided Challenge 30 at Taylored Expressions was going to be the week...this lady does some lovely sketches,they are cupcake challenges,but you don't have to use cupcakes,you can use other stamps and just follow the layout.
Main cupcake stamp is Hero Arts,coloured using prisma's and sansador,i've used 3d gloss and glamour dust for the icing.The sentiment stamp was free with stamper magazine also coloured with prisma's and sansador.The papers i've printed off my Cute Companions CD,i think they match well.Finished off with black gem stones and ribbon from stash

CUTE CARD THURSDAY...."BRIGHT COLOURS"

Cute card Thursday challenge 24 "BRIGHT COLOURS" .

For this challenge i decided it should be a fun card...as much as i love all my cute Sarah Kay,Sugar Nellie,Penny Black,etc...the list goes on,i think sometimes we need a complete change,we tend to get stuck in the same old same old...lol.

The stamp i've used is a Rubber Romance,"Bunnie",coloured with prisma's and sansador,matted,layered and 3d'd onto the card.I've used a DL size card due to the stamp being quite large and long,i think it lends itself better to this shape of card rather than a square one...

The sentiment is by Creative Expressions,ribbon and gems Hobbycraft.

STAMP WITH SARAH KAY....CHALLENGE 8

Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks challenge,there was some beautiful cards.This week at "Stamp With Sarah Kay" there's another great sketch to follow,so come on get those cute Sarah Kay stamps out,take a look at the layout and join in the challenge...Take a peek at the DT cards,there's some gorgeous examples...

For mine this week i decided to use "My Sweet Lilli",such a cute image,love her...i paper pieced the image by stamping the image three times onto the backing papers (K & Co) in selective area's,making each part of the image stand out,i coloured the remaining area's with prisma's and sansador.

The lace frame which is 3d'd was a small doily which i backed onto card to stiffen,them cut the centre out,the centre i used at the back of the image.

The flower and leaves is a mixture of fabric and paper,the paper which i punched again from the backing papers.I finished off with a HOTP rub-on,ribbon,and flat backed pearls from my stash.

A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR...CHALLENGE 13

Challenge 13 at A Spoon Full Of Sugar this week is a sketch by one of the DT Debbie,i've really enjoyed this sketch and will use it again...

Stamp used Sugar Nellie "PEN PAL",coloured with prisma's and sansador,matted and 3d'd onto the card.

The papers used are K & Co "Amy Butler"love these papers.Corners cut on the Wizard and finished with gems from my stash.

CHALLENGE 32 ...."COLD AS ICE"

Tilda & Co Challenge 32 "cold as ice",this week the challenge is to make a card using only blue and white....I decided for a change i would water-colour Tilda using Sukura stardust pens,i can never get it to show in the photo...i need some photography lessons..lol,finished off with some glamour dust.
I've used only plain coloured card,navy and white,and cuttlebugged the last layer of white with the "snowflake" embossing folder.
Layered Tilda using nestabilities and 3d'd onto the card,finished off with ribbon,gems and Doodlebug rub-ons for the sentiment...

CHALLENGE 10....RIBBONS

Penny Black challenge 10 this week is ribbons,use ribbons somewhere on your card....i decided to move away from my favourite square shape card and have alittle fun today,i've my card in the shape of an apron,the ribbons are the neck strap and apron ties...
The Penny Black stamp "Poppy Fields" i've coloured with prisma's and sansador,the paper is from a DCWV paper stack,sentiment is a HOTP rub-on,lace,ribbon,pegs and brads all from bit box...

STAMP WITH SARAH KAY,CHALLENGE 7

Stamp with Sarah Kay...challenge 7 this week is a sketch by Babs,check it out it's a nice sketch to work with,have a look at the lovely cards from the DT.Thank you to everyone who joined in with the challenge last week,there was some beautiful cards....
For my card this week i've used mainly DCWV,the flowers are flora doodles,ribbon and gems form my stash.
The Sarah Kay i've used this week is "PICNICS OF DAISIES",which i've coloured using prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities,and then 3d'd.

BUTTON IT !....

Papertake weekly challenge this week is "BUTTON IT!",use a button or buttons somewhere on your project,i've used some button backing paper printed off a Sharon Duncan CD "Button Bunnies",i've stitched a few of the buttons with embroidery thread.
The baby stamp is a Joanna Sheen,from the "Mainly Babies"stamp sheet set,which i've stamped using versafine imperial purple,i've left it uncoloured,the nature of this sketch type stamp looks better left this way,i think so anyway...matted and layered using nestabilities and 3d'd with foam pads.The sentiment is Serendpity which again stamped in the same imperial purple and matted and layered using nestabilities.

The photo's not really showing true colour,the buttons on the paper look more blue in the photo they are more on the purple side in real life.

SARAH KAY CHALLENGE.....WEEK 6

Sarah Kay Challenge....week 6....A sketch.I decided for this sketch i would use "Fanny's Cuddle",coloured with prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities,and then raised from the backing papers with 3d foam pads....The paper is K & Co "K-OLOGY",i love the colour combination in this paper,and i think too nice to cover with any embellishments,the only other items i used,ribbon and gems from bit box.....

CHALLENGE 9,SKETCH 2.....

Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week is a sketch(No2)....I have rotated the sketch,which you are allowed to do...
The stamp i've had for quite sometime,probably over a year,you know how it is we buy so much it's knowing what to use first...lol,anyway i thought it was about time it saw the light of day.
The stamp "Fish are jumpin",coloured in with prisma's and sansador.
The card stock i've used is something else i've had for ages,not sure where from.
The 3 fish at the top are stamped using See D's "Boy's Toy's",i stamped them on the base card,coloured them with prisma's and sansador,then punched 3 holes in the next layer of card,which i then mounted using 3d foam to form a port hole effect,i am happy with how this turned out....
To finish off i've used some bubble stick on corners by m.i.y,and Doodlebug rub-ons for the sentiment...

FRIDAY SKETCHERS....No14

Friday Sketchers No14 as been done by Beatrix,what a great sketch to work with....
All papers are HOTP,the stamp "sweet'n sassy" by sugar nellie from Funkykits,was coloured with prisma's and sansador,sorry i think i've got a bit of a green hat thing going on,thats two days on the trot now.....lol
I finished off the card with flora doodle flowers,ribbon from poppiecrafts,and butterfly charm from my bit box.....oh and an adhesive heart shaped gem for her necklace and doodlebug rub-ons.

"THE TWO OF US"....

"The two of us" is the theme for the challenge this week at CUTE CARD THURSDAY ,i decided to use my Sarah Kay stamp "A kiss for Chloe",coloured with prisma's and sansador,cut out and 3d'd,i stamped the image twice so that i could 3d the both hats also....
The back ground scene i printed from my Crafters Companion "Cute Companions" CD,when i look at this image it makes me think they should be in a field or park,so that was my aim....I've also mounted this on 3d foam pads to make it stand out from the spotted paper...

The spotted paper is DCWV,and for the i love you on the tree i used Doodlebug rub-ons...

RECYCLE,CHALLENGE 11....

A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR,challenge 11 this week is "RECYCLE".I decided to do a man's card,i sometimes think thats a challenge in itself.....
I've been wanting to use this stamp "rugby Hamish" for awhile,i think he's is so cute....i used prisma's and sansador to colour him in,cut out using nestabilities,3d him with foam pads.The stamp is from the Suger Nellie Stamps from FUNKYKITS...
The papers are Dovecraft masculine,the words which look like stickers are vinyl tags by HOTP.
I've got a rugby ball embellishment which i wanted to use on this card,but do you think i could find it,no.....so i made one out of leather look card and some string,funny looking rugby ball but never mind.....
The only recycle item on my card is the Stella Artois bottle top which i flattened in my Wizard.
I finished off with some 3d stars made from the backing paper which i first glued to card to make the more firm....

This is my card for this weeks "STAMP WITH SARAH KAY",challenge 6,a lovely sketch to work with... and such cute images too.
The image coloured with prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities done on my wizard.Papers are Joanna Sheen gingham paper pad,finished off with Doodlebug rub-ons,ribbon and metal teddy embelishment from my bit box.

The exciting bit of news i've got for you is,yesterday all out the blue i was asked by Moni from Stamp with Sarah Kay to join them on the DT,well to say the least i was alittle "gob smacked",excuse my use of words...i didn't think my work was good enough,well i obviously said yes,i must admit i'm alittle nervous,but in for a penny...and we'll see how it goes.Thank you Moni for taking me on board

FRIDAY SKETCHERS,SKETCH 13

To inspire us this week sketch 13 at Friday Sketchers is set by Kimmie from Canada,and i must say i enjoyed doing this one.

The image is a house mouse stamp "eye pencil + lipstick ready",sorry to bore you,but coloured with my usual prisma's and sansador....again same old faithfulls matted and layered using nestabilities done on my wizard,that is how i do my corners,i was asked that question the other day....

The papers are from DCWV spring stack,chipboard sentiment came in a set from QVC,eyelets done with my crop-o-dile,buttons and ribbon from my ever growing bit box.....

CHALLENGE 8,NO PINK....

Penny Black Saturday challenge 8,"NO PINK",this to me means men....
Decided to do an octagonal card for a change,been doing alot of square cards recently,my favourite shape for a card.
Penny Black "dressed up",coloured with you know what i'm going to say....lol,Prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities cut on my wizard.
Backing card,paper,and sentiment all Kanban.
Simple,quick card....

SARAH KAY CHALLENGE 5,3 BUTTONS + 3 JEWELS...

This week the Sarah Kay challenge 5 is 3 buttons + 3 jewels....these must be included on your project. I decided i wanted a dreamy summery day feel,so went for lemons and blues,the image was coloured using prisma's and sansador,matted,layered using Nestabilites and then 3d onto the base card.The papers are from a Provo Craft paper stack.Finished off with 3 large blue gems,and 3 blue buttons that form the centre's of the flowers, i punched the flowers, cut up one of the petals so i could form a cup shape to house the buttons,they stand proud from the card.Lastly added some doodlebug rub-ons.

Sorry photo not too good,not showing true colour,should have waited and took it in the day light tomorrow,i need to invest in a daylight lamp....

KERRY'S GOTHIC FAIRY....

Well no challenge card to add this morning,was short on time yesterday doing all those nasty four letter words iron,shop,dust,cook....lol,but still had to have my daily craft fix even if it was only brief.
I used an image i'd stamped and coloured in a while back when i first got this set of stamps,but had never mounted it onto a card.The stamps are another set by the very talented Kerry and can be purchased here.
I water-coloured the image with a Sukura stardust pen and koi brush,you can get a really nice shimmery effect using this method,but unfortunately dosen't show up that good in the photo.Matted and layered using Nestabilities,3d to raise from the base card.To finish sentiment stamp Hero Arts fixed in place with an eyelet and some polka dot ribbon from Poppicrafts.

Stamp with Sarah Kay this week Challenge 5 is a sketch,this is my interpretation of it,i've loved doing the sketch challenges this week,it so takes alot of the head work out of making a card...

IN THE HOUSE...

In the house is challenge 21 this week at Cute Card Thursday ,anything which you would find in the house....I decided to use one of my lastest additions to my ever growing stamp collection,it's one of a set that was released a couple of weeks back,the set "HARRY + MARTHA" can be purchased HERE,and was designed by this very talented lady Kerry,she creates the most gorgeous cards......

I know we've not all got budding ballerina's in our homes,but we've all got chairs....

Stamp is Ballerina Martha,coloured with prisma's and sansador,i added some glamour dust to her tutu,then cut her out,i was going to 3d her but then decided to go the opposite route and lay her down flat and 3d the frame around her,i've never worked this way before and i'm not too sure if i like the effect.

The backing papers are from a wedding stack,not sure of the make the cover is missing off the stack.I finished off with some pearls,satin ribbon bow,Doodlebug rub-ons, and an adhesive heart gem on the chair.
