HOT and SPICY LUCY.....

Hot and spicy Lucy...bet you wondered what you were coming to look at...lol.This is one of my new stamps the postie delivered yesterday and i couldn't wait to ink her up!....this is off one of the new Kanban sets which are now selling at Funkykits...

I thought the colour combo sort of suited Lucy...i've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium...must get my Distress Inks back out and have a play with those for a change.
The papers are all Making Memories "Maddi" just perfect i thought to go with the image which i always colour first and then match papers...not really the right way,but it works for me!
The copper embellishment is from stash as is the brad.
I've followed the sketch over at SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY....thank you girls.
And i'm also entering this into COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE...this week the colour theme is "HOT PINK,WARM ORANGE and SAFFRON" and C.R.A.F.T. CHALLENGE...which is "HOT and SPICY" hence the title :0).
Well that's about it for now...have a great day,
Take care

"TOUCHY FEELY".....

"Touchy Feely" is the theme this week at THE CREATIVE COTTAGE....this is the first time i've joined in on the challenge but decided i'd give it a whirl....seeing that i'd just purchased this weeks special offer kit "BabyEllie And Family"it would have been rude not to use it!...LOL.

All papers and image are printed from the Creative Cottage kit...i print the backing papers onto 160 gsm smooth cardstock and this time because of the "Touchy Feely" theme i've printed the image onto sticky back flock paper...it's the first time i've tried this and i must say i'm really pleased with the result :0).
The trim across the middle is made from felt...not sure where this came from,i think it was in a Cosmo Cricket set from QVC.
I've 3d the image...i printed it out 3 times, cut and layered it using Pinflair glue gel onto an embossed background which had been created using a Crafts Too 5x5 "Dots" embossing folder.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts....the google eyes, pearls and tiny button from stash.
I'm also entering this card into this weeks FRIDAY SKETCHERS CHALLENGE....i followed their fabby sketch it so suited the card i wanted to make!
Well i'll love and leave you for now..hope you all have a fab day :0)..
Take care

WEDDING DAY WISHES......

Hi....today i'd like to share a card with you i've made to cover two challenges....POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE this week where the theme is "LOVE & MARRIAGE"and i've sort of followed the sketch over at WALTZING MOUSE.

The sentiment and focal point of the card is from one of the mini doodle sets "Mr & Mrs" not long released at Pollycraft,i've also shrunk down the wedding cake from the same set and inserted between the wording.
Not much to the card really.....alot of die cutting which i love playing around with!
The gorgeous embossed paper i'm sure came in one of those bumper kits from Crafters Companion many moons ago!
Flowers,pearls and ribbon from stash.
Well thats about it for now folks...hope you all have a lovely day....the weathers really dull here today...that hanging over weather,i hate it!
Take care

WISH UPON A STAR.......

"Bear necessities" ,clean and simple style cards is the name of the game this week over at JUST CUTE BEARS...

And this week we are being sponsored by Paula from Pollycraft....there's two prizes up for the taking for two lucky winners...can i enter...LOL,check out the challenge for more details of whats up for grabs...well worth joining in on the fun this week!

Clean and simple...not a style i use very often, but i will be from now on.....so quick and i love the finished result!
The star shape card was made using a template, the card folds flat and fits into a 6" square envelope.
I stamped the Cuddly Buddly (Little High Flyer) image directly onto the card and then again another twice so that i could 3d him,he was coloured in using Promarkers and Prisma's....not that there's much colouring on this one,i added some glamour dust to the stars which looks lovely IRL.
The sentiment is from a SeeD's set "Magical Christmas".
I finished off by edging the base card with diamond stickles...i wasn't pleased with the colour when it had dried so i went over it with some lemon chalk...much better :0).
Well all that's left to say is...a big thank you to all who joined us last week..."Gorgeous" creations once again and you'll all take up the challenge this week...don't forget there's that fabby prize up for grabs...well two of them, double the chance of winning this week :0).
Hope you all have a lovely day

FLASH YOUR FREEBIES ...PART 2....

Hi....last week Paula from Pollycraft had an additional challenge,to use one of any of the freebies she's given away..and she said there was around 40!...make a card/project with it,link it to her blog and she would then email you with another free image...to use in the second part of the challenge...well the free image was this cute little fellow and the challenge is think "GREEN".

When i saw the theme today i knew i had to make a shaped card with it....i enlarged the image and printed it out twice on two different greens of DCWV textured cardstock.
I scored and folded a third piece of card the same as the paler green, stuck the printed image to it,leaving some over hang at the top and cut round it...I then cut parts of the image from the darker green and stuck it to the base image....paper piecing really but with cardstock.
I added alittle colour to his cheek with some chalk.
Beaded wire, charm, bow, pearl and wobbly eye from stash.
To give you an idea of size it fits nicely into a 6" square envelope....i didn't want to add anything else to the image so i've made a tiny card out of the scraps of the same card, the sentiment is Hero Arts...flower from stash.
Just a fun thing but i like it!
That's it for now....oh i forgot to mention Paula is letting you pick another freebie from her shop if you enter this second part :0)...can't be bad!
Take care

JUST MAGNOLIA...IT'S YOUR SPECIAL DAY!....SKETCH BY BEV...

Hi.....today i've made a card for the JUST MAGNOLIA CHALLENGE ....it's been such a long time since i entered this challenge...and so many neglected Magnolia stamps.
To be totally honest i've never been really 100% sure whether i trully like Tilda!..i love her on everyone else's cards just not mine...but i think my hubby's got alot to do with this...he doesn't like her full stop!and i think he's put me off alittle :0(...so why you ask do i still keep buying the stamps?,can't answer that one!...you tell me!...lol.
I've used Princess Tilda coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's blended using Sansador.I've done something on this image that i don't normally do...i've outlined her with a pale blue marker...not too sure if i like it! the jury's out on this one....i've added lots of sparkle to her tiara, gloves, dress and button on her shoe using glamour dust....i can never capture the glitz in the photo like some of you do....i wish i could take good photo's!
The paper is "Nanna's Wallpaper" from Funky Fairy's.
The sentiment is by Scrappy Cat from the "Birthday Wishes" set.
I've used a Martha Stewart Doily punch to form the lacey border.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Hobby Craft.
Ribbon and gems from stash.
Well i've enjoyed joining in this week and what a fabby sketch to work with too!.....by the very talented Bev....
Hope you all have a great day whatever your plans.
Take care

This week at JUST CUTE BEARS the theme is "Christmas In July"....so dig out those Christmas stamps and come and join in!...that will be one less to worry about two weeks before Christmas...lol.

For my card i went with a Forever Friends stamp that's exclusive to the Glitter Pot "Christmas Gift"...coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's...the sentiment is also part of a FF stamp i just inked the sentiment part up.
The base is made up of two different size shaped cards cut using my Cricut and the "Wild Card"...the white bottom layer is 5 3/4" and the black layer is 5 1/4".
The other layers have been done with the scallop circles nesties.
I've threaded some gingham ribbon througth the holes which i love to do with these type of cards.
Finished off with some glamour dust to the ribbon and bow on the image and some diamond stickles around is feet.
Well that's all for now....just would like to say a big thank you to all who joined us last week for Helen's sketch we had some gorgeous creations hope to see you all again this week...and remember there's just one rule you must use a cute bear :0)...now that's not difficult is it!

The image i've used is from the Sugar Nellie Home Grown Manga range "Poinsettia"...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,i've added alittle glamour dust to the bow on the pot and to the centers of the poinsettia's.
I've hand stitched around two edges of the image and added a couple of large cross stitches to the corner.
The paper is Dovecraft "Winter Wonderland"...i've added a few self adhesive gem's to this, just to add alittle interest.
The corners have been cut using an Ek Success corner punch.
Adhesive pearls from stash.

FLASH THOSE FREEBIES !!!!!!!!

Morning everyone......today's the day to "FLASH THOSE FREEBIES!"....Paula over at Pollycraft as got a challenge going on and she wants you to use anyone of her freebies to make a card or project...that shouldn't be hard, she say's she's given away around 40 freebies....WOW Paula!....now to find out more and join in on the action you need to take yourself HERE....

I've kept my card simple,i've used the freebie that's still available HERE....i've only coloured the hearts with a red Copic marker and then added alittle glamour dust to them.I've cut it out using a oval nestie and then layered onto a heart nestie.
The embossed layer i've done using the Crafts-Too "Dots" embossing folder, love this it's 5 x5 and the dots are slightly larger than the Cuttlebug swiss dots one.

The sentiment is a 7 Gypsies stamp..cut out using a file tab punch by Woodware.
All layers have been distressed with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
Finished off with ribbon from stash.
Well that's about it for now...have a great day everyone.

Hi....i'd like to share a card with you i've made to cover two challenges....firstly i've followed the sketch over at SKETCH SATURDAY,i've rotated it to suit the image...fabby sketch as always, thank you girls.....the second challenge which is a newbie is KENNY K'S KRAFTY GIRLZ CHALLENGE...this first week the theme is "PASTELS"...
The image i've used is July's freebie "Dixie Daisy" which you can snag from HERE....i've coloured her using Promarkers and Prisma's...glamed her top up with alittle glamour dust and added a tiny pearl for her earring.
The papers are Stampin Up "Tea Party" which i think i must have had for almost twelve months...i got them from Emma.....and i must say brilliant service.
The sentiment is from "Essential Sentiments" set by MFT....punched out with a file tab punch from Woodware.
The star brads, charm, bow and self adhesive pearls all from that ever growing stash mountain :0)...
Well i think that's about it...
Hope you all have a lovely evening....

DT FOR JUST CUTE BEARS....SKETCH BY HELEN.

Well it's that time of the week again....who pinched the week!...it only mean's it's time for another challenge over at Just Cute Bears...this week we have a fabby sketch for you to follow by one of my fellow teamies Helen...i loved working with this, thanks Helen.
We've also got a sponsor this week "MELJEN DESIGNS"....one lucky winner will win 3 bear images...can i enter..LOL.
For my card i've used a Forever Friends stamp from the "Celebration set"...coloured using Promarkers and alittle shading with Prisma's...not really much colouring on this one...his hat i've paper pieced to match the backing paper, which is K & Co "Hopscotch"...not sure why but i love this paper pad.
The sentiment is from the Papermania Clare Curd's Sentiments set.
You can see i've used an old CD for the circle part of the sketch...that wasn't what i originally planned...i'd reached for the CD to use as a template to cut round...but when i layed it down i had a light blub moment...lol...why put myself througth cutting out when i can use the CD as it is...and i think it works ok,i've never used one on a card before but hey there's a first time for everything!...and really that's how the sentiment and the music note embellishments came about. The notes were printed off the computer and coloured with a black Copic marker.
Ribbon and black pearls from stash mountain!
Well that's about it folks...would just like to thank everyone who joined us on the challenge last week,as always you all made some fabby cards/projects and we hope to see you all again this week...there's really only one rule you need to include Just One Cute Bear!
Hope you all have a lovely day
Take care

POLLYCRAFT....."EVIE WAITING FOR SANTA"...

Evening all....sounds abit like Dixon Of Dockgreen...LOL.
I've got a card to share with you i've made to cover two challenges....POLLYCRAFT ,this week there's a fabby sketch to follow made by one of the DT Marit....thank you Marit i really enjoyed working with this one :0)
The second challenge i'll be entering is TEDDY STAMPERS....this week the theme is "love my teddy".....and i can say that Evie loves hers!

The image i've used is a digital image from Pollycraft "Evie waiting for Santa"...gorgeous Christmas image and a dream to colour.I've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium.
The papers are from a DCWV "Christmas Stack"...this is everlasting,i don't think i will ever come to the end of it...i do love the papers...so perhaps it's a good thing :0).
The baubles are out of one of those assorted button packs...not sure of the make i've emptied them all out into a tub...they're hanging from gold craft wire, they don't move because i've secured them with Pinflair glue gel.
The sentiment is a peel-off i've coloured with a black permanent marker...i'm happy with it,it looks like it's been heat embossed.
Ribbon and pearls from stash...the pearls are a perfect match IRL but for some reason in the photo it's got more of a purple/lilac look...they're actually a wine colour.
Well i think i've just about covered everything,
Hope you all enjoy your evening
Take care

JUST CUTE BEARS......."DECOUPAGE"

Sunday again which means it's time for another challenge at JUST CUTE BEARS....this week we would like to see decoupage on your card/project....all we ask is that there's a cute bear image on your creation.
For mine i've used a printed out decoupage sheet from Crafters Companion Popcorn the bear "Kids collection CD"...the sentiment is also printed off the CD.The actual image was the largest on the CD...too be honest when i'd printed it off it was alot larger than i was expecting....so made a 7"x 7" card...a size i wouldn't normally do.
I've added alittle glamour dust to the heart on the pram...some pearls to the scallop trim which i'd punched with a Fiskars "Threading Water" punch,to the wheels and the corners and lastly some ribbon to the handle.....i would like your opinions on the ribbon please...if you leave me a comment could you let me know whether you think i should leave the ribbon long or if i should cut it off...i'm alittle undecided on this one.
Sorry the photo is pants...for love or money i just couldn't get this one right :0(.
Well thats about it....all thats left to say is a big thank you to all who joined us on the challenge last week and hope to see you all again this week.
Have a lovely day whatever you're up to :0)
Take care

"FLO"....MEETS 5 CHALLENGES !

This afternoon i finally got to do alittle crafting.....i seem like i've been really busy doing nothing this week if you know what i mean....seem to have been on the go but not achieved much!
The card i've made is to cover 5 challenges.....
POLLYCRAFT.....this week the theme is "PINKALICIOUS".
ONE STOP CRAFT CHALLENGE....colour combo of "PINK and BROWN".
DIGITAL TUESDAY....the theme is "SUMMERTIME".
PAPERTAKE WEEKLY..."IN STITCHES"
SKETCH SATURDAY.....followed the sketch for my layout.

The image "Flo" was a Pollycraft Friday Freebie.......i love her!,how cute is she :0)....i've coloured her using Promarkers and Prisma's.I've 3d'd her hat and dress...the shadow from the hat is making it look like she as a dirty mark on her forehead, but she hasn't.The flower paper is DCWV and the spotty paper at the back is Papermania "Simple Elegant"...i think they go together well. The textured cardstock is also DCWV.The flowers, ribbon and pearls from stash.Well that's about it for now.Hope you all have a lovely evening...

Take care....San x
