Morning all.....i've a card today i've made for the sketch challenge over at WALTZING MOUSE....another fabby sketch to work with...thank you Claire, keep them coming :0).
I've used some beautiful digital papers from Waltzing Mouse "Victoriana"...must say these print out lovely.
The sentiment and little stamped fancy corner is also Waltzing Mouse from the stamp set "Fancy Phrases".
I've used Spellbinders Shapeabilities Pendants "Renaissance Hearts" die to cut the two center pieces....the bottom one in silver mirri card...i've also used a layer of mirri on the base card,i thought it lifted the card.
The "made with love" charm, ribbon, pearls and two pearl ended pins all from stash.
Well thats about it for now....
Hope you all have a great day...whatever you're up to :0)

JUST CUTE BEARS.....

Hi....another weeks rolled round, time's flying this year.....Sunday again which mean's it's time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEARS,where this week we have an "open theme" for you, which mean's you can please yourself what you make...all we ask is you use a cute bear somewhere on your card/project.
I decided to make a teddy bear shaped card,i used a template from a Anna Marie CD.
The gingham cardstock is DCWV "Nanna's Kitchen".....i so love working with gingham and think it's perfect for baby cards /projects.
The brown textured cardstock is also DCWV which i've used for his paws and patches.....i used a black fine liner to add faux stitching and to draw is face, his nose is an oval clear gem which i coloured black with a permanent marker.
The sentiment is a Royal & Langnickel rub-on....one of the best rub-ons i've found to use.
There are three layers to him and i've edged them using Antique Linen Distress Ink so that you can see his body parts better...i've also used dimensional foam pads to his body and head to give him alittle more dimension.
He is also gingham on the back with a "Cherish" definition rub-on (i should have taken another photo of the back view, but i was in a rush and forgot....it must be my age!)
I've used very thick and sturdy acetate cut to the teddy shape...from a distance it makes it look like he's free standing.....must say i'm pleased with how this as turned out and i'm going to do a pink one now.
I would like to thank all who joined us on last weeks challenge....and hope to see you all again this week.
Have a lovely day
Take care

The digital image and papers are from Pollycraft from the "Cherry Kisses Set",i've coloured the image with Promarkers and then glittered the flowers using glamour dust.
The calendar was a free download off the internet and "August 2010" was printer on the computer.
The butterflies were made with a Martha Stewart punch and the leaves with a Ek Success punch.
Gems, pearls, flower, tulle, button, lace and ladybird all odds from bit box.
I'm also entering this into DU2DS where this week the brief is "BLOOMS and BUTTERFLIES".

Well today i'd like to share a card with you i've made for this weeks CHARISMA CARDZ CHALLENGE...."ALL ABOUT BLING".and CRAFTY ANN'S CHALLENGE #17 "EMBOSSING"
No colouring on this one...i needed a quick card and anyway i wanted to have a play with this Polka Doodles "Paper Boutique" CD i've had for sometime and not round to using!
I printed the cupcake image out a couple of times and layered certain parts with dimensional foam pads for a 3d effect.I've added large self adhesive gems and glamed the top up with Diamond Stickles,i've also added some glossy accents to the pink layer of cream/icing.
The cherry i made with a red button and the stem off a paper flower.
The sentiment is Hero Arts.
Ribbon from stash.
The base card was embossed with a Crafts-Too Dots 5x5 embossing folder, and i've also added some Dusty Concord to the edge of each of the layers of card.

WALTZING MOUSE SKETCH CHALLENGE #3......

Afternoon all....and a lovely one it is too!...today i've a card to share with you i've made for this weeks WALTZING MOUSE SKETCH CHALLENGE,i so love these stamps...i want them all..LOL,i'm getting there slowly.

For my card i've used the pansy stamp that comes in the "AFTERNOON TEA SENTIMENTS SET"......coloured with Distress Inks, cut out and mounted using Pinflair glue gel onto an oval nestie....these are not colours i work with very often...but must say i'm fairly happy with the end result!
The papers are Basic Grey "Eva" and "Urban Prairie"...i think they work well with the image...i coloured my image first and then hunted round for papers to match...not a good idea...note to ones self sort papers first!
The large butterfly is made up of three layers which have been cut with a Spellbinders "Butterfly Reflections" die and the tiny ones with a Martha Stewart punch.....gems added to the bodies for alittle glam...

JUST CUTE BEARS and ONE STOP CARD CHALLENGE....

Hi....it's Sunday again which means it's time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEARS,this week our theme is "MONOCHROME"....my favourite colour combo black and white!
or you can use shades of one colour....
We have some sad news...Ali who runs the challenge as stepped down from her post and blogging for awhile (not too long i hope),but Cathy one of the DT as come to the rescue and taken up the role...so the challenge will still run...thanks Cathy!...you're a star.
I've gone for another fun card this week...seeing as how it's Fathers Day...unfortunately neither my dad or FIL are no longer with us...and this wouldn't have been a card suitable for either really...so this ones for all the dads out there....."ENJOY YOUR DAY"

The image is Crafters Companion Popcorn the bear from the "I Love You" stamp set,i stamped him using Versafine Onyx Black and then heat embossed him with a clear detail embossing powder.I then cut him out using a round nestie...he is actually stuck on the inside of the card as you can see in the above photo...with a apeture cut into the front of the card directly over him.The frame around the apeture was also cut with two of the Pinking circles dies by Spellbinders.

The gingham papers are from Joanna Sheen...i so love gingham! The sentiment was done using rub-ons and the heart is a silver peel-off i coloured with a black Copic marker.I've added a couple of small kisses under the dad...because to be honest i'd got a little mark that i needed to cover up..so this was the option i came up with.....couldn't think what else i could do.
The corners were punched using a Ek Success corner punch and a tiny circle punch for the little gingham circles.
I'm also entering this card in this weeks ONE STOP CRAFT CHALLENGE....where this week the theme is "ONE FOR THE BOYS"...
Well if you're still with me and not yawning your head off..all that's left to say is for those that joined us last week on Just Cute Bears...many thanks, you made some gorgeous creations and i hope you'll join us again this week...i look forward to visiting your blogs!
Take care all...and have a fabby Fathers Day Sunday!

NO CHALLENGE CARD....MARGARET'S CARD!!!!

Hi everyone....just a quickie today....wasn't going to put this card on my blog, there's some that i don't always show on here...not because i'm not happy with them, simply because they're not a coloured image or not for a challenge...i just think you wouldn't be interested!.This one was one i made for my SIL whose birthday it was on Thursday.

I love to work with black and white...well i just love to work with black really,i think it sets off every colour you put with it!
The decopage was taken off a Card Creations Plus CD "Silhoupage".....a cd i've had for a long time, one i have used before, you can make some quick, simple cards which can look very effective.
The image was layered using Pinflair glue gel onto a Spellbinders Labels 10 cutout.

WALTZING MOUSE CHALLENGE # 2......

Well it's the second week over at Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge...and must say another fabby one to get your teeth into!
For my card i've used two of Claire's stamp sets,"ASIAN GARDENS" and "FAUX FUN".
The main image i've stamped the branch from the Asian Garden set in two different shades of green ink to form the stems of the flowers....then used the small flower from the same set randomly stamped in red...each time i've inked the stamp i've stamped with it two or three times to give some of them a faded effect......it's then been cut out and framed using Spellbinders Labels Ten...one of my favourite sets at the moment!
I then cut a small flower with the red cardstock using Spellbinders "Flower Creations" die...wrote "Hi" on it using a white gel pen, then raised it on a dimensional foam pad.
The center border was stamped using the same red ink using Faux Fun stamp set......this is a fantastic border set, which i think will be used time time again...a must for any stamp collection!
The textured cardstock is DCWV.
The flowers are Petaloo "Sweet Petites"
The corners were punched out using a Ek Success photo corner punch.
Brads are Basic Grey....ribbon and small gems from stash mountain!
Well that's about it for now.....hope you all have a lovely day
Take care
