SKETCH SATURDAY and A GEM OF A CHALLENGE...

Morning all....today see's two new challenges,my first DT card is for SKETCH SATURDAY,

another fab sketch by Jo again this week :0).

We are sponsored this week by PAPER MAKEUP STAMPS,

The DT were lucky enough to get to work with a digi image or stamp of their choice,

i picked the lovely "Moody For Flowers" stamp to work with...a fabby image

suitable for so many occassions!

I've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium...no surprise there then:0)

I've added a touch of glamour dust to the bow on the flowers.

The papers are My Minds Eye "Quite Contrary"...and i think they work perfectly with the image.

The sentiment is by Tabbykat from the "Sentiments & Greetings" set,

Now on to my second DT card and this one's for A GEM OF A CHALLENGE.... Again this week Janet's our host and she's set the theme of "PEARLS and SWIRLS" For my card i've used the dottie flower from the newly released stamp set"Funky Flowers", I love this stamp set :0). I've used Versafine "Deep Lagoon" to stamp the image onto cream cardstock, and them cut it out using an oval nestie...which i've then mounted onto the beaded oval nestie....and added pearls to each of the scallops. The swirly embossed background i've done using the Cuttlebug "Divine Swirls" embossing folder. Metal ribbon slider and ribbon from stash. VERITY....

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at SKETCH SATURDAY....another fab sketch by Jo,i'm sure you'll agree! I've gone with a Sugar Nellie image "Verity standing" available as a digi image from Funky Kits...these are perfect for that much needed sugar rush :0). I've used Promarkers and Prisma's to colour and i've stamped around the image using a flourish stamp from HOTP. The sentiment is by Lilli Of The Valley...i don't think these are on the web site till alittle later on this month,picked mine up fron the NEC. The papers are My Minds Eye "Wild Asparagus"...forgot i'd got these,found them while searching for something else :0). I've cut the tiny flowers using a Xcut punch...ribbon,brads and self adhesive pearls from stash. We are sponsored this week by SIMON SAY'S STAMP.....and the lucky winner this week will get a $25 gift certificate to spend on whatever they choose :0)...can i enter,lol.

A THANKFUL HEART....

Hi everyone....today i'd like to share a quick and simple card with you....no colouring as one of the challenges i'm entering states this.
The sentiment i've used as my focal point is a new release over at Whimsy Stamps...by Ann,Raindrop Echo Designs,it's from the "Gratitude Sentiments" set,these digi's are just perfect,you can resize to suit your needs.
The embossed paper is My Minds Eye "Bloom and Grow" which i've edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
The flowers are Prima...to which i've added a mixture of centers...pearls,gems and gold glamour dust.
Finished off with ribbon from stash.


I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
DIE CUT DREAMS CHALLENGE.....No colouring-plus feature a heart..there's two,one on the sentiment and a made with love gold heart in the center of one of the flowers.
SPOON FULL OF SUGAR.....Relish to Embellish.
CUPCAKE CRAFT CHALLENGE....."Thank-you" and "Autumnal colours"
AUD SENTIMENTS....."Thanks"...not sure if i can enter with this sentiment,but i'll give it a go :0).
DIGITAL TUESDAY CHALLENGE...."I've been framed"(plus digi)....i've made a frame of flowers and the sentiment is a digital one.

FIRST DT CARD FOR SKETCH SATURDAY.....

Well here we are my first DT card for SKETCH SATURDAY...and i must say a fabby sketch as always by Jo to start with :0).
I love the colours on this card one of my favourite colour combo's...and i think the image works well with these too.....the stamp i had as soon as it came out,Penny Black "Mimi and Friend" which i've coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's.
The papers are My Minds Eye "Quite Contrary" and came free with a magazine.
The flowers i've cut with a Xcut punch and added some self adhesive pearls to the centers.
The sentiment is a Doodlebug rub-on "All Mixed Up" medium size in Bubblegum.
Lastly alittle glamour dust to there wings.

WHIFF OF JOY.....SKETCH BY DONALDA.

Hi....well hope you've all had a lovely day in the gorgeous sunshine!
I've made a card for the challenge at Whiff Of Joy,this week there's a sketch to follow by Donalda...thanks Donalda it was great to work with...must admit i've left the embelishments off i wanted to keep the card looking pretty simple,i did try it with a few leaves but it just didn't look right so decided to leave them off.
The cards also slightly smaller than i usually make,it's 5x5 i normally do 6x6.
I haven't added a sentiment either,so could be used for almost any occassion.

The stamp is from the Whiff Of Joy "Summer stamp kit 2009" coloured with Copics and Prisma's,cut out using square nesties and edged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
The paper is My Minds Eye "Bloom and Grow"...love these papers.

Very simple easy card...but i love it!

PENNY BLACK,SKETCH SATURDAY and AN ANNOUNCEMENT......

Hi all....well one card to cover a couple of challenges and alittle bit of good news i'd like to share with you.
Firstly i'm entering the Penny Black Challenge which this week the theme is "In The Garden"and i've followed this fabby sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I've used "Lazy Days" Penny Black stamp coloured with Prisma's,i've coloured and cut the flower three times and 3d'd in places using Pinflair glue gel.The main image as been cut out using Spellbinders Nesties "Labels Ten" and mounted onto the base card using dimensional foam tape.

The paper is My Minds Eye "Bloom And Grow"...as is the fabric brad.

The scalloped border as been punched using a Fiskars "Threading Water" punch.The bottom border i've added self adhesive pearls which i purchased from Hobby House.

I've used a Ek Success Retro Flower punch in two sizes to create the flowers around the image,finished in the centre's with more pearls again from Hobby House.

The ribbon and ric-rac from stash.

POLLYCRAFT and A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR

Hi....Another card again today to cover 2 challenges....Pollycraft where this week the brief is "SUMMER BLOOMS" and A Spoon Full Of Sugar "CUTE and GIRLY"...it's the first time i've entered Pollycraft,i thought i'd give it a whirl,i was having a sort out the other day and came across a few Pollycraft stamps which i'd never inked up and this is one of them!

Recipe for card:-

Stamp...Pollycraft one of the Sharing Sherbet range,not sure of the name,i think maybe it's retired now.Coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's.....jazzed up here and there with some glamour dust.

Embossing Folder....Crafts-Too Dots 5x5.

Sentiment Stamp....Cuddly Buddly....Round Greetings.

Fabric Brad...My Minds Eye.

Not too sure about the end result of this one....never mind i've had my play for today :0).

Must get off to the PO now to post something for my son he's sold on Ebay.

DOUBLE DT.....STAMP WITH FUN & CUTE DAISY MAY.

Hi everyone...i've two DT cards to share with you today,firstly my card for Stamp With Fun,where this week we have a lovely sketch for you to work with by our GD Nicole....thank you Nicole a dream to work with!.

I've used a CC Design's Swiss Pixies stamp "Heidi" and coloured for a change with water colour pencils.The paper is My Minds Eye "Bloom And Grow" and the sentiment is Papermania.

The flowers are Prima,Flora Doodles and two i've cut with Ek Success Retro flower punch.

Ribbon,brads and adhesive gems from stash and i've added alittle glamour dust to her wings.

My second card is my DT card for Cute Daisy May,this week the brief from Net was "The Word",the sentiment needs to be the main part of your card/project.
I've used this cute image of Linnie's from "SHEET No 24" which i thought worked so well with this sentiment from Paper Makeup Stamps.
My colouring medium on this one is Promarkers and Prisma's.
I've used "Swiss Dots" embossing folder on the white card to add some texture and finished with some self adhesive pearls by Papermania.
Linnie's done some gorgeous new images....you'll find the one i've used plus loads more must haves HERE,you'll be spoilt for choice,well worth a look!
