For my card i've used a sheet of Joanna Sheen Faye Whittaker decoupage from "All Our Yesterdays"...my second love after colouring is cutting out...both so relaxing...after cutting the images out i've used Pinflair 3d glue gel to give dimension to them and to adhere to the card/scene.
The papers were free with a magazine...i think they work perfect with the image...the banner across the corner is by Poppystamps "Simple Banner Die" and the sentiment is a Whimsy Stamps one which i've cut out using a Spelldinders "Double Ended Tags Die".

How cute are these two...

LESS IS MORE....

Hi.....just a short post from me today....and a CAS card too.
Like i said yesterday haven't done much crafting over the last two years...so i'm easing myself back into it....
There could be no better challenge to do this than THE LESS IS MORE....popped over there first thing this morning to see what the theme was....and this week its "CATS and/or DOGS".
After getting my jobs done decided to join in...and here's my card below ( sorry photo's not brilliant ).

The image i've used is a Joanna Sheen one i've had from when i first started crafting...it's off a A4 sheet all different cat images....it's been sencond generation stamped (for a lighter finish) in Memento Tuxedo Black ink...i really wanted it to look like a pencil drawing.
The sentiment was stamped the same and is an old Elzybells one.....no longer available...i loved her stamps.
I've finished off with alittle washi tape and a couple of staples.
Well thats about it for now....Hubby's home from work and need to do the food shop.
So bye for now have a good weekend
Take care

PEACE & LOVE and ALL BOY....

Well today i've two cards to share with you....firstly my DT card for THE PAPER SHELTER,where this week the theme is "FLOWER POWER".....i've used one of the newly released images "Hippy Girl" coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's...no glamour dust today just some glossy accents added to her glasses.
The papers are Basic Grey "Offbeat"...i love these papers and i think these work perfect with the image :0).
The sentiment i created on the computer and i forgot to note down the font...sorry.
I've made some rolled up paper flowers and added a glittered brad to the two smaller ones.
Black pearls from stash.
I've followed this weeks sketch over at SKETCH AND STASH....and my new item is the image.
I'm also entering this card into THE CRAFTY PAD CHALLENGE (Sun)....this week it's "Use a digi"

Hope you'll all come and join us over at THE PAPER SHELTER...don't forget as always there will be one lucky winner who will receive a $15 gift certificate....well worth playing along for!

My second DT card is for STAMPAVIE AND MORE....the theme over there this week is "For a boy"...i've gone foe a very simple look with this one,i've used one of the Papermania Nostalgia stamps by John Byars "Football Mad"...this sort of image i think can be left uncoloured...a sketchy drawn look.
I've also gone with the monochrome look(Black & White),one of my all time favourite colour combo's....and Joanna Sheen gingham paper another favourite!...seems like lots of favourites going on here :0).
The sentiment is by Scrappy Cat and i've stamped in Vanilla Cupcake and heat embossed using a clear detail embossing powder.
The little footballs and goal are rubber 3d stickers i think i got from the Range.
I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:-
CUPCAKE CRAFT (Mon).....Monochromatic.
LADYBUG CRAFTS CHALLENGE (Tues)....Monochrome.

Well that's about it for now....hope you'll come and join in the fun both at THE PAPER SHELTER and STAMPAVIE AND MORE......i look foward to seeing your fabby creations!

I'd like to share a card with you today that i've made with one of todays new releases from MELJEN DESIGNS available to purchase from WHIMSY STAMPS,every Thursday Melissa releases new digi images...well worth taking a look.
I knew as soon as i saw this image "Little Umbrella Boy" i would be paper piecing it...just needed to decide on what paper i would be using...finally settled with this gingham paper from Joanna Sheen...i've had it for ages now so not sure if she still sells it....must say good quality :0).I've edged the paper with "Black Soot" Distressing Ink i feel it gives alittle more deepth to the card. The ticket sentiments are a download from Crafty Ann's...i've used the blanks and added my own sentiments on the computer using MCS.
Sorry i should have said that the rest of the image as been coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's.
I've finished the card off with some black pearls.

JUST CUTE BEARS and ONE STOP CARD CHALLENGE....

Hi....it's Sunday again which means it's time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEARS,this week our theme is "MONOCHROME"....my favourite colour combo black and white!
or you can use shades of one colour....
We have some sad news...Ali who runs the challenge as stepped down from her post and blogging for awhile (not too long i hope),but Cathy one of the DT as come to the rescue and taken up the role...so the challenge will still run...thanks Cathy!...you're a star.
I've gone for another fun card this week...seeing as how it's Fathers Day...unfortunately neither my dad or FIL are no longer with us...and this wouldn't have been a card suitable for either really...so this ones for all the dads out there....."ENJOY YOUR DAY"

The image is Crafters Companion Popcorn the bear from the "I Love You" stamp set,i stamped him using Versafine Onyx Black and then heat embossed him with a clear detail embossing powder.I then cut him out using a round nestie...he is actually stuck on the inside of the card as you can see in the above photo...with a apeture cut into the front of the card directly over him.The frame around the apeture was also cut with two of the Pinking circles dies by Spellbinders.

The gingham papers are from Joanna Sheen...i so love gingham! The sentiment was done using rub-ons and the heart is a silver peel-off i coloured with a black Copic marker.I've added a couple of small kisses under the dad...because to be honest i'd got a little mark that i needed to cover up..so this was the option i came up with.....couldn't think what else i could do.
The corners were punched using a Ek Success corner punch and a tiny circle punch for the little gingham circles.
I'm also entering this card in this weeks ONE STOP CRAFT CHALLENGE....where this week the theme is "ONE FOR THE BOYS"...
Well if you're still with me and not yawning your head off..all that's left to say is for those that joined us last week on Just Cute Bears...many thanks, you made some gorgeous creations and i hope you'll join us again this week...i look forward to visiting your blogs!
Take care all...and have a fabby Fathers Day Sunday!

STAMP WITH STAMPAVIE....VINTAGE

Another week at Stamp With Stampavie and this week the theme is "Vintage",hope you will all come and join in,but we do understand how pushed everyone is for time, thanks to everyone who played along with us last week.
For my card i've used Sarah Kay "Christmas Magic",i thought this was the right stamp for the vintage theme,no colouring,i just wanted to leave it as the stamped outline.I've created a photo frame around the image and put some acetate into it,this isn't showing to good in the photo.
All the papers, sentiment and holly embellishments are Anna Griffin.
Tassel from Joanna Sheen.
I'm not really happy with this card,i've not been interested in my craft this last week or two,i've had alot on my mind and somehow haven't been able to summon up any enthusiasm, normally i craft to take my mind off things, but haven't been able to some how.
Sorry for not visiting your Blogs lately, but will try to over the next few days.
Take care and have a lovely day,
San x

CUTE CARD THURSDAY...IN THE WATER !

Over at Cute Card Thursday this week,Challenge 25 is "In The Water !"...for this one i've used one of my new stamps from Joanna Sheen "Messy Rabbit",coloured with prisma's,sansador and paper stumps,i've used 3d gloss on the water with a sprinkling of something similar to flowersoft to resemble a bit of a soapy lather.
The back ground scene i printed from Crafters Companion "Cute Companions",i cut the rabbit out once coloured and mounted him on 3d pads,so give alittle dimension to the card.
The sentiments,"splash out" is a stamp from the same "Messy Rabbit" set and it's your birthday was done using Doodlebug rub-ons.
A quick and simple card,i hadn't got much time to play....

STAMP WITH SARAH KAY,SKETCH 9....

Stamp with Sarah Kay,Sketch 9 this week is by the talented Katherina,if you haven't visited her blog yet check it out, there are some brilliant tutorials and many lovely sketches if you're in need of alittle inspiration...

A big thank you to everyone who joined us with the challenge last week, there was some amazing entries,i really enjoyed visiting your blogs,so come on,what you waiting for,get over there check out the sketch, gather your stuff together, and lets make cards....lol,

We have a new DT member this week,so i would like to say a big welcome to Jacqueline from the Netherlands.

Right down to it... i love old sepia photo's and for a while i've been wanting to have a go at reproducing that look and vintage feel into a card...so hey presto one sepia card.
Sarah Kay stamp "A little help from Margot"stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia and coloured with prisma's,sansador and paper stumps.
Backing paper, not much of it visable is by Joanna Sheen.
Sentiment stamps all by Autumn Leaves, photo anchors, brads and clip from stash.

BUTTON IT !....

Papertake weekly challenge this week is "BUTTON IT!",use a button or buttons somewhere on your project,i've used some button backing paper printed off a Sharon Duncan CD "Button Bunnies",i've stitched a few of the buttons with embroidery thread.
The baby stamp is a Joanna Sheen, from the "Mainly Babies"stamp sheet set, which i've stamped using versafine imperial purple,i've left it uncoloured, the nature of this sketch type stamp looks better left this way,i think so anyway...matted and layered using nestabilities and 3d'd with foam pads. The sentiment is Serendpity which again stamped in the same imperial purple and matted and layered using nestabilities.
The photo's not really showing true colour, the buttons on the paper look more blue in the photo they are more on the purple side in real life.

THREE FOR A FRIEND.....

Well i was asked to make three cards the weekend by a friend of my husbands,i have made cards for him before, well actually it's his wife who wants the cards.....sometimes i wish they wouldn't ask,it turns what should be a nice relaxing hobby into a stressfull nightmare. But i made them and survived,LOL...
The two adult cards i used images from Joanna Sheens Fashion Boutique CD,and the Grand-daughter one i used a Cuddly Buddly download.
