Well i decided to combine a couple of challenges today....DU2DS,this week the dare is "RED,GREEN and your choice of NEUTRAL" and follow the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.Thought i'd have a go at colouring, first for 3 months....the image is from Sensational Santa's from PC Crafter, coloured using Promarkers,Prisma's and Sansador. The paper is DCWV Christmas stack, ribbon's and button from stash and sentiment is a silver peel off i've coloured with a black permanent marker....i know what you're thinking "a peel off",well it looks quite good IRL,looks like it's been heat embossed.I've added alittle glamour dust to the pom pom on his hat.Another quick card again, but i'm happy with it!
Well that's about it for now,i must try to get round to your blogs to see what you've all been up to,i bet you've all got your Christmas cards finished!
Hi everyone....thought i'd share a card with you today that i made yesterday, not for any challenge, just one of three quick and simple ones for my Christmas box,i'm way behind this year!.I've used a Papermania scalloped card for the base, matted and layered using Anna Griffin cardstock from a Christmas kit i got from QVC two years ago.The image is from "Banner Of Joy" by Penny Black which i've stamped out twice using a green ink pad which also came in the Anna Griffin kit,so matches the cardstock perfectly.I cut part of the second image and 3d'd it using Pinflair glue gel...see photo below.I've finished the flower off with some pale green adhesive gems.I'm unsure of the make of the sentiment stamp, but this is the only one i could find that would fit nicely into the Making Memories label holder. All edges have been aged using Antique Linen Distress Ink.
Well thats about it,i would like to thank all who left comments on my last card,it had been so long from when i last posted/blogged and i really appreciate each and everyone of them,i must say i'm finding it really difficult trying to get back into my crafting/blogging,i feel like a fish out of water and haven't done any colouring of images for 3 months,i'm beginning to wonder whether i will still know how!I used to take my cards to show my mom who would scrutinize every inch of it....she had always worked as a table hand in the printing trade untill she retired she had a good eye for detail, and a very honest opinion of my work, she would always tell me if something wasn't quit right or if she didn't like anything, everything now just seem's so pointless,i miss my mom so much!I'm finding it difficult to move on and am coping less now than i did when she first died...time's a good healer i know.Sorry to have gone all morbid on you,it's could to put down into words how i'm feeling.
Well it's been a long time since i posted last and since i did any crafting....Christmas is almost here and i need to do some cards,i will have to buy some this year but will try to do afew simple ones of my own. Decided to join in on DU2DS challenge, this week the dare is "GLITTER" and Penny Black where this week the challenge is "WINTER WONDERLAND". I've used a free digi image from Fred She Said and glittered it using ultra fine glitters, each layer,5 in all have been mounted onto dimensional foam pads. Fleur De Lis,Spellbinders pendant die as been used to create the base of the Doodledallion.I've added a snowflake and adhesive gem from stash to the center. The sentiment is from a Penny Black T For Transparent set " Banner Of Joy".
Just a close up of the Doodledallion....love these easel cards, first one i've made and i'm really happy with the way it's turned out. Well that's about it for now, hope it won't be so long for my next post.... Take care all San x
Just wanted to thank you all for your kind words regarding my mom, thanks to all who sent me cards and a big thanks to Chris for the beautiful flowers,so many thoughtful people i was overwhelmed with your kindness. Well over at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp we have a new challenge for you, this week our theme is "DISTRESSING"....now this can be torn edges,sanding...etc and you must include one digital image.
I've used Chris's (Sketching Stamper) image "Oriental Blosssom" which i've coloured with Copics. The main image ive triple embossed and IRL looks like a glazed tile,i've been wanting to try this for awhile and thought this image was perfect for that technique.I've coloured some extra flowers and then glazed them with glossy accents. The papers i've had forever and don't now know where i got them from, sorry. The three black panels are Black Magic Core'Dinations "Potion No9"which i recently recieved along with so many fab goodies in some RAK from my blogging buddy VICKY.I've used a cuttlebug folder to embossed them and then sanded them down to reveal the colour beneath...it's a perfect match colour wise to the bottom DP.Lastly i've added some self adhesive pearls, these are Kanban.
From this week the challenge will be changing to fortnightly,so we will have a new challenge for you every two weeks, the next challenge then will be 14th August. We are also starting to have on board a Guest Designer each month...this month we have with us the very talented JEN.And each month we will be picking a new GD from our regular challenge entrants.Hope you will all join us for our new DARE this week and a big thank you to all who took up the challenge with us last week.
I haven't been around much lately leaving regular comments,i've left comments mainly for people entering the challenges i'm on the DT for, sorry it's been a bit hit and miss....my mom's not been well again for afew weeks and as ended up back in hospital this week,my head's been all over the place and must admit i haven't had much interest which sounds really bad....i've struggled to even get my DT cards done due to time as well as lack of interest,i don't really want to give my Dt posts up because up untill now have really enjoyed being on those teams,so for now will try to plod along...i'd made up my mind not to post anything about my mom on my blog but decided i needed to explain why things have been the way they have for awhile now.
Hi....i'd like to share with you today my DT card for Stampavie And More, where this week we have the theme of "SCHOOL".I'm not too sure whether i actually like how this card as turned out....one minute i do,next i don't...i've used alot more colours on this than i would normally and i think maybe i've sort of turned them into little clowns,i wanted to use all the colours in the papers which are a NitWits download "Live'n Learn"....maybe i'll live and learn not to use too many colours...lol,oh well i suppose it is a kids card after all!
The image is Precious Moments and i've used Copics and Prisma's as my colouring medium, the blackboard, box of crayons and apple embellishments are all from the same NitWits download.
The textured card is Core'Dinations "Roy G Biv" and i've used Papermania dome sticker numbers, paperclip from stash.
Would like to thank each and every one of you who joined us last week for the challenge and hope to see you all back again this week.
Hi....it's Monday again so that mean's i've two cards to share with you.Firstly Stamp With Fun where this week we have the theme "PEARLS".I've used a new Motivet stamp "Doraline Surprise",one of three i won over at Friday Sketchers two weeks ago,i hadn't got any of these stamps and was so happy to find i'd won that week!.I've coloured Doraline with Copics and Prisma's,my favourite colouring medium at the minute,i've added alittle glamour dust and tiny pearls to the image. The papers are all BG "Euphoria" and the sentiment is from the "Just Sayings" set by Inkadinkado.I've followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers which this week as been supplied by Jacque...thank you Jacque great sketch to work with!

My second DT card is for the Cute Daisy May challenge, this week again we have a theme for you "FRIENDSHIP"...now this can be interpreted any way you wish,a card or a project for a friend, not necessarily a birthday card.
I've used one of Linnie's new bride images...these are gorgeous,go take a look you won't be disappointed, you'll find these and many more must haves HERE.
I've used Prisma's to colour the image i wanted a more ivory rather than white dress.added a touch of glamour dust here and there and some "Heather Mix" flower soft to her bouquet and headdress. She's then been cut out and 3d mounted using silicone gel.The gorgeous embossed paper i've had for awhile, not too sure where from, but i think maybe Crafters Companion.I've used two of my new dies "Fleur De Lis" and "Lattice" pendant, sentiment was computer generated...sorry forgot to note down the name of the font, must try to find it i rather like it!Lace, brads and pearls all from stash.
Well that about wraps it up! thank you to all who joined in on the challenges last week,as always some stunning work, hope to see you all back with us again this week :0),
Well where are the weeks going?,we are now onto challenge 17 at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp and this week we have a lovely sketch for you to follow by one of the DT Larissa, thank you Larissa a dream to work with! For my card i've used the "Heart Of Hearts" image by Chris(Sketching Stamper) which can be purchased along with so many other digi images HERE.I printed the image off and coloured it completly with distress ink "Antique Linen"and then used a Cosmic Shimmer Mist "Rich Gold"sprayed lightly over the top,not showing too good in the photo but lovely and shimmery IRL,i've done the same to the sentiment after printing it off on the computer using "Chocolate Box" font. For the centre panel of the card i've used some handmade paper which also as a slight shimmer and sparkle to it,again not showing up too good in photo, over the top i've used acetate which i printed the heart of hearts image onto,i firstly reduced the image size and then tiled it to give me an all over pattern,i've then added black dew drops to sort of seperate the hearts. I wanted to finish off with metal corners, but do you think i could find them,so had to us peel-offs which i added tiny pearls to each of the corner ends.Peel-offs i can hear you saying...yes i know i haven't used any since i first started card making, but to be honest i don't think they look that bad! Everything else ribbon, faceted hearts and gems from stash. Well thats all folks, hope you will come and join us again for this weeks dare and thanks to all who joined in last week! Take care San x
Well it's time for another challenge at Stampavie And More, and this week we have a lovely theme for you "SUMMER".Well i knew right away what stamp i'd be using, love this fun Kadoodle image by Sandra Dry,"Primrose"which can be purchased from The Craft Barn.
I've coloured her using Copics and Prisma's,and have added glossy accents to her ice-cream and an adhesive pearl to the flower middle on her hat.The paper is BG "Cupcake" just perfect for the image. The large ice-cream is an iron-on applique you would use on clothes from Hobby Craft and the sentiment is computer generated using "Cafe Rojo" font.Dew drops from stash.
The layout is this weeks sketch at Sketch And Stash,so will be entering it into that challenge also,my new item is my stamp, great sketch to work with Becky, thank you i will use it again. Well that's about it,hope you will all come and join us this week and thanks to all who took up the challenge last week.
Well yet another weeks rolled round and time for me to share two DT cards with you....firstly for Stamp With Fun where this week there's a sketch to follow by Maria Bell, and i must say a lovely sketch too, thank you Maria.I've used Sarah Kay "Can I Tell You A Secret?" coloured with Copics and Prisma's,cut out and 3d'd using silicone gel onto oval nesties which is also raised using dimensional tape. The papers are all K&Co "Hopscotch" and have all been distressed around the edges with "Peeled Paint" distressing ink.The flowers are Prima and Papermania. The sentiment which as been cut out using Spellbinders Double Ended Tags is by MFT.The corner was done using a Ek Success corner punch, ribbon, buttons and adhesive pearls all from stash.
You can see in the close up that i've changed his flowers,i messed up when cutting the image out so i punched some really tiny flowers from a Dovecraft border punch,i like the effect, something i wouldn't have done if i'd have cut the flowers out perfectly,i suppose a happy accident!
My second card is for Cute Daisy May,where we have a sketch for you to follow....Linnie's done some gorgeous new sheets and this image is taken from one of those "Sheet No 53".You can purchase this along with so many others HERE..i tell you well worth a look!,and a free image to get you started, what you waiting for :0).
I've coloured mine using Copics and Prisma's and then glamour dusted the skirt part of her dress. The paper is Papermania "Simply Elegant",the flowers are a mixture of punched out ones using a Woodware flower punch and flowers from Poppicrafts.Sentiment is CC Designs cut out using the ribbon tags die, brad, pearls and dew drops all from stash.
Just a close up of this gorgeous image.Hope you will all come and join us again this week on both of the challenges...thanks to all who joined in last week,we had a good response and some beautiful work,i must say some very talented people out there!,
Hi....today it's Dare U 2 Digi Stamp challenge day,and the dare this week is "ANYTHING BUT A CARD",that could be a box,bag,ATC,bookmark,etc...the list's endless, just let your imagination run away with you...lol.The only thing we ask is you us a digital image on your project. For mine i decided to alter a really cheap address/phone book i picked up for the grand sum of 49p from Home Bargains...I used Chris's (Sketching Stamper)image "On The Phone" which i thought was just perfect for this project....you can purchase this along with so many other gorgeous images from HERE.....and i'll warn you when you see her new Butterfly Fairy's you'll want them all...lol.I've used Copic markers and Prisma's as my colouring medium and then used glamour dust over her top.The leather look paper/card really looks and feels like the real thing,i'm not too sure where i got this from,i think i had it from the NEC and it maybe MIC.I've threaded a ribbon througth the spine of the book and added some black faceted beads.Ribbon, ribbon slider and large flat backed pearls from stash.
The above photo shows how the book looked before i started altering the cover, the back of the book as also been altered but i haven't taken a photo,it's just been matted and layered like the front and ends on a leather look layer.I stuck with the same colours as the book started with due to the fact the pages inside are patterned like you see on the front with pink and black.
This just show's a close up of the image...love her!
And lastly i've been given an award by the lovely Sue (Scoopysstuff)....thank you Sue it's so kind of you to think of me :0),i so appreciate this and honoured to recieve it, but at the minute not really worthy of it,i've been a bad and lazy blogger of late, sorry everyone,i don't want to get all heavy on you but i've been alittle down and have struggled to really do anything.I hope this all soon passes and i can get back to my usual self, perhaps midlife crisis...lol,whatever i wish it would go!
I would like to pass this onto the following two people who have come to my blog on a regular basis and left me very kind and encouraging comments...VICKY and DONNA...thank you girls i so appreciate them more than you will ever know :0).
Well that's about it...sorry for the extra long post today, hope you will come and join us on the dare this week, and there's a prize up for grabs....take yourselfs over to the challenge blog and see whats on offer!,
Take care, have a lovely day and i hope a fantastic weekend!
