FUNKY FAIRY'S SKETCH CHALLENGE 35...

Over at Funky Fairy's this week challenge 35 is a sketch and a theme of non traditional Christmas,i've used Funky Fairy's download "Chocolate Covered Christmas Kit",which i actually won from challenge 34....couldn't wait to use this kit the colours are yummy,chocolate,lime,cream and pinks,"gorgeous".

The paper i decided to use from the download is abstract looking and so went along that route with my card,no colouring,quick but effective,different from my usual,but hey change is as good as a rest...lol.

Shapes cut out using nestabilities,sentiment from Penny Black Christmas Critters stamped using Versafine Vintage sepia,glitter and gems from stash.

SKETCH(#18) SATURDAY and PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE 16 "SEASONS"

I've combined two challenges today,Sketch saturday(sketch#18) and PennyBlack Challenge 16 which is "Seasons"....
I've gone for the easy option by deciding to use "Winter" as my season,well thats another Christmas card out the way.
The stamp i've used is Penny Black ""Wishes For Kisses",i love this stamp,coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's and alittle diamond stickles on the snow.I've 3d'd is scarf but it's not showing up that well in the photo,matted and layered using nestabilities.
The paper is printed off a Funky Hand Cd "Yule Be Funky".
Corners and letters all cut on my Wizard,the alphabet is called "Vintage",and the ribbon is from my stash.

CCT,CHALLENGE 26...."PRETTY IN PINK"

Challenge 26 this week at Cute Card Thursday is "PRETTY IN PINK",now you tell me who could resist doing this challenge,how many of us crafters love pink...so for mine i've used one of my all time favourite Penny Black stamps,this is so useful for birthdays,retirement or even get well cards...

Penny Black stamp "Lazy Days",coloured with prisma's,sansador and paper stumps,matted and layered using nestabilities,the flower as been stamped twice and decoupaged using silicon glue.

SPIRAL WHISPER....CHALLENGE 1

A new challenge started yesterday at "SPIRAL WHISPER",for this first week it's a sketch,you can use any Spiral Whisper stamp.

I've used my Max and Millie stamp designed by Janet Roberts,coloured using prisma's,sansador and paper stumps.

Textured card is DCWV.

Backing paper is a download,unsure where from,too many stored on my computer now.

Sentiment is a download from Shabby Princess and ribbon from stash.

Centre panel cut using nestabilities and each layer mounted on 3d pads,Max and Millie also cut out and mounted on 3d pads.

A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR...CHALLENGE 15,ANYTHING BUT A CARD

Spoon full of sugar this week,challenge 15 "Anything But A Card",a couple of weeks back for another challenge i made a wine bottle gift tag and was really pleased with the result....so today i made another one but this time with a Christmas bottle tag in mind.
The stamp Christmas Maggie,Sugar Nellie,i've paper pieced her dress with some lace effect paper,unsure where from,i've used an oddment from my ever growing bit box,i've coloured in the stars on her dress and her wings with a Sakura starduct pen,on the wings i've dotted it on to give a netting appearance.
I've matted and layered using nestabilities,decorated with snowflakes cut from the same card on my wizard.Gems and ribbon from stash.
The sentiment is from See D's "Magical Christmas",held in place by a star shaped brad,allowing movement to be able to write a message on the back.

STAMP WITH SARAH KAY...AND SOME NEWS..

This is my card for this weeks "STAMP WITH SARAH KAY",challenge 6,a lovely sketch to work with... and such cute images too.
The image coloured with prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities done on my wizard.Papers are Joanna Sheen gingham paper pad,finished off with Doodlebug rub-ons,ribbon and metal teddy embelishment from my bit box.

The exciting bit of news i've got for you is,yesterday all out the blue i was asked by Moni from Stamp with Sarah Kay to join them on the DT,well to say the least i was alittle "gob smacked",excuse my use of words...i didn't think my work was good enough,well i obviously said yes,i must admit i'm alittle nervous,but in for a penny...and we'll see how it goes.Thank you Moni for taking me on board

FRIDAY SKETCHERS,SKETCH 13

To inspire us this week sketch 13 at Friday Sketchers is set by Kimmie from Canada,and i must say i enjoyed doing this one.

The image is a house mouse stamp "eye pencil + lipstick ready",sorry to bore you,but coloured with my usual prisma's and sansador....again same old faithfulls matted and layered using nestabilities done on my wizard,that is how i do my corners,i was asked that question the other day....

The papers are from DCWV spring stack,chipboard sentiment came in a set from QVC,eyelets done with my crop-o-dile,buttons and ribbon from my ever growing bit box.....

CHALLENGE 8,NO PINK....

Penny Black Saturday challenge 8,"NO PINK",this to me means men....
Decided to do an octagonal card for a change,been doing alot of square cards recently,my favourite shape for a card.
Penny Black "dressed up",coloured with you know what i'm going to say....lol,Prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities cut on my wizard.
Backing card,paper,and sentiment all Kanban.
Simple,quick card....

SARAH KAY CHALLENGE 5,3 BUTTONS + 3 JEWELS...

This week the Sarah Kay challenge 5 is 3 buttons + 3 jewels....these must be included on your project. I decided i wanted a dreamy summery day feel,so went for lemons and blues,the image was coloured using prisma's and sansador,matted,layered using Nestabilites and then 3d onto the base card.The papers are from a Provo Craft paper stack.Finished off with 3 large blue gems,and 3 blue buttons that form the centre's of the flowers, i punched the flowers, cut up one of the petals so i could form a cup shape to house the buttons,they stand proud from the card.Lastly added some doodlebug rub-ons.

Sorry photo not too good,not showing true colour,should have waited and took it in the day light tomorrow,i need to invest in a daylight lamp....

RED,BLACK + WHITE....

Challenge 24 this week at My Time To Craft is a colour theme "Red,Black + White",i needed to do a quick card last night for a friends son so decided to do one that i could enter in the challenge...i came up with this..

No stamping or colouring so very quick,the image (which is 3d) and the backing paper are from a download i've had for a while but had never used before,Tinkers Ark,by Tinker & Co,HERE.

Matted and layered using my Nestabilities,what did i ever do without these....finished off with black eyelets,alphabet beads and a star shaped button all from my odds and ends box...

DOWN ON THE FARM....

Down on the farm....Challenge 7 at Penny Black Saturday challenge... i decided to use the duckling stamp,and due to the nature of the challenge wanted to make my card look countrified,hence the gingham....

I coloured the image using prisma's and sansador,i'm really into these at the moment,matted and layered using my Nestabilities another favourite of mine.The flowers are paper ones which i have added my own centres to using a small star punch and tiny brads,i also punched some leaves out.

I've used some adhesive paper lace and the organza ribbon was a freebie from a mag.The gingham paper is from a DCWV paper stack,the sentiment also DCWV,is a rub-on from a quote stack,which i've attached with a tiny peg,the sentiment can be removed to add a message on the back if you so wanted to do.

I'm pleased with the overall effect.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE.......

I wanted to do something alittle different today,so decided to have a go with these 3d foldy flowers i purchased a few weeks ago from FRED,SHE SAID.

I coloured the flower in with prisma's and sansador,folded the petals and used three different sized layers,finished off in the centre with a glass bead.

Mounted the finished flower using nestabilities onto embossed card,sentiment a Hero Arts stamp,final touch satin ribbon from stash...

Plain and simple,but i think very effective.

THIS IS A FIRST......

Well this card is a first for two reasons,it's the first ever card i've made for a challenge and the stamp i've used today for the first time.....
The challenge is "CUTE CARD THURSDAY CHALLENGE 19"only animals,no people....

Also fits the challenge 7 all creatures great and small at "OOH-LA-LA-CREATIONS

HERE WE GO !!!

Well here we go,i've finally got round to creating a blog,alittle unsure of myself at the moment so bear with me untill i find my feet!!!

I've been itching to join in on some of the lovely challenges out there,thats the main reason for this blog,i'll probably make a terrible blogger,i know i won't be able to post daily,time just will not stretch to it,but if i can manage a couple of challenges a week i will be happy with that,so fingers crossed,here goes!!!!!

I thought i would add a card i made for a friend,it's her birthday today,made it the weekend,hope she likes it.....
