PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE 12...STARS AND STRIPES

Penny Black Challenge 12 this week is "STARS AND STRIPES".
I've used a stamp from the T for Transparent set "Christmas Critters",coloured in with prisma's,sansador and paper stumps,and a touch of glamour dust round the cuff of the mitt,i've then cut this into a star shape,matted and layered using nestabilities and then 3d'd onto the card.
The papers are both HOTP Christmas pad,over from last year.
Sentiment is from See D's "Magical Christmas"set,attached with star shaped brads from stash.
I've finished off with a small hatpin embellishment which i made,and some satin ribbon from my stash...this makes 3 Christmas cards only another 103 to go...lol

CUTE CARD THURSDAY...IN THE WATER !

Over at Cute Card Thursday this week,Challenge 25 is "In The Water !"...for this one i've used one of my new stamps from Joanna Sheen "Messy Rabbit",coloured with prisma's,sansador and paper stumps,i've used 3d gloss on the water with a sprinkling of something similar to flowersoft to resemble a bit of a soapy lather.
The back ground scene i printed from Crafters Companion "Cute Companions",i cut the rabbit out once coloured and mounted him on 3d pads,so give alittle dimension to the card.
The sentiments,"splash out" is a stamp from the same "Messy Rabbit" set and it's your birthday was done using Doodlebug rub-ons.
A quick and simple card,i hadn't got much time to play....

A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR,CHALLENGE 14....3 DIFFERENT RIBBONS

3 Different ribbons is challenge 14 at A Spoon Full Of Sugar this week.Everyone seems to be making Christmas cards,you are all making me panic...lol,so for this challenge that was what i decided on,this will make 2 under my belt.

The stamp is one of the new Christmas Stamps from Cuddly Buddly,coloured with prisma's,sansador,paper stumps and H20's.The sentiment stamp also Cuddly Buddly.

The papers are printed from a Funky Hand CD "Yule Be Funky".

Finished with 3 different ribbons across the middle,puffy snowflakes,which i've coloured to blend with the colour scheme and star gems from my stash.

STAMP WITH SARAH KAY,SKETCH 9....

Stamp with Sarah Kay,Sketch 9 this week is by the talented Katherina,if you haven't visited her blog yet check it out,there are some brilliant tutorials and many lovely sketches if you're in need of alittle inspiration...

Right down to it... i love old sepia photo's and for a while i've been wanting to have a go at reproducing that look and vintage feel into a card...so hey presto one sepia card.

FIRST KABOODLE CHALLENGE....

This week see's the start of a new challenge site,"The Kaboodle Challenge",and to start everyone off there are some free downloads to use to make your card for the challenge.There are 4 papers and 2 sheets of emblishments for you to pick from.
I decided on the 2 different black ,red and white options,my challenge i set myself was to use only what i had been supplied with and no other image,this to me is how it should be...
I printed out on linen effect card,but really the photo hasn't picked this up very good,i wanted some texture,punched 4 squares,2 of each of the contrasting patterns and joined them together to form a large square,the frame over this was the pieces i had left from my penny black bottle tag,which i layered one on top of the other and then 3d'd at an angle.
I cut parts of the remaining paper to form petals for the flower in the centre,and for the corners on the frame.
I finished off with a Pink Petticoat sentiment cut out with a tag punch,and gems from Hobbycraft.

PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE 11...NO CARDS ALLOWED

Penny Black Challenge 11 this week...."NO CARDS ALLOWED"....I decided to do a wine bottle neck tag.a nice way to give a bottle of wine as a gift...
For this i used Penny Black 12 days of Christmas,the french hen,coloured with prisma's and sansador,matted and layered using nestabilities.The sentiments stamps are by Crafty Secrets.
Flowers are Flora Doodles,ribbon from Poppicrafts,buttons and flower gem from stash...
I'm really pleased with the overall effect.

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS...CHALLENGE 30

I've been wanting to join in on this challenge for a few weeks,so decided Challenge 30 at Taylored Expressions was going to be the week...this lady does some lovely sketches,they are cupcake challenges,but you don't have to use cupcakes,you can use other stamps and just follow the layout.
Main cupcake stamp is Hero Arts,coloured using prisma's and sansador,i've used 3d gloss and glamour dust for the icing.The sentiment stamp was free with stamper magazine also coloured with prisma's and sansador.The papers i've printed off my Cute Companions CD,i think they match well.Finished off with black gem stones and ribbon from stash
