........HEARTFELT WISHES.......

Well it's my last week as GDT over at POLLYCRAFT,i would like to say a huge "THANK YOU" to Paula and her lovely team for having me on board for the month of August :0).
This week the challenge theme as been set by Lynsey...and she would like you to "Add some nature" to your card/project...lovely challenge Lynsey,i so enjoyed this one!


Something alittle different,i've seen this technique of "spotlighting" on one or two blogs and have wanted to have a bash at it...so decided this would be the perfect challenge and image for me to experiment with...and i must say i'm pleased with the end result.
The image is from the Pollycraft set "Love Naturally"....i changed the print out colour from black to sepia and printed the image out twice.I then coloured the heart shaped leaves with Promarkers on the one image and cut the heart shape out using Spellbinders Heart Nesties,3d mounted it directly over the same part of the below image.
The sentiment is from the same set and i also changed the colour of the print out to sepia.
The textured cardstock is DCWV and buttons from stash.
I've edged the layers with "Old Paper" Distress Ink.

MERRY CHRISTMAS.....ALITTLE EARLY!

Hi....it's time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEARS,and this week we would like to see "EMBOSSING" on your card/project,now this can be any sort of embossing and the only other rule is you must use a cute bear image...now that's no hardship is it!......

This week due to the theme i decided to keep it pretty simple....i always think and this is just my opinion that embossing done on white card always looks classy and tends to show the embossing off perfectly.

I've used two embossing folders.....Cuttlebug "Graces Frame" and Papermania "Christmas Borders".

The image is one of the new Christmas images from Pollycraft "Kiki Gifts"....coloured with Copic's and Prisma's for alittle added shading.

The sentiment i purchased from Ebay when i first started making cards,and ribbon from stash.

I'm entering this into the following challenges :-

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY......

Well it's that time of the week again...Saturday and time for a new sketch over at SKETCH SATURDAY,and boy as Jo come up with a beauty this week,a joy to work with...thanks Jo.
This isn't a colour scheme i normally go for and really all happened by accident :0),i didn't plan how my card would look it just all come together somehow...as if by magic...LOL!


The image is LOTV "Fairies-On Tiptoe"...i've had this stamp since it's release and never got round to inking it up...shame on me!...such a gorgeous image and a dream to colour.
I've used Copic's and Prisma's as my colouring medium and added some crystal Stickles to her wings,flowers and the ground...every fairy needs alittle sparkle!
The paper is Basic Grey "Euphoria",and the textured cardstock is DCWV.
The sentiment is Personal Impressions.
The flowers are from Hobbycraft.
The self adhesive pearls are from the Hobby House.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY MOM....JUNE19th,1929 - AUGUST 27th,2009

Well it's been twelve months mom....where's the time gone,it seem's like yesterday i've found it hard to move on!

What i would give for just one more day with you...just to have a cuppa and a chat like we used to do!...i've still got our cups mom.

I found this verse on the net,it's just perfect.

SWEET CHRISTMAS DREAMS....

For my GDT card this week over at POLLYCRAFT i've gone for making another Christmas card...another one less to think about :0)...they're building up slowly!
The challenge theme this week is a recipe......3 papers,2 buttons and 1 charm,and as been picked this week by Sheena.

The image and papers i've used all come from the same Pollycraft set "Sweet Christmas Dreams",i've coloured the image using Promarkers and Prisma's,added some glamour dust to the snowflakes and flocking to the trims on cape/dress.
The buttons are the two snowflakes and i've added diamond stickles to these for some extra sparkle.
The charm and self adhesive pearls are from stash.
I'm going to enter this into another challenge THE SHABBY TEA ROOM....where the theme is "A little bit of metal".

KIKI WITH CAKES.....

Another weeks gone by...who pinched last week?...lol,never enough days in a week lately!
But it mean's one thing it's Sunday again and time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEARS...this week we would like to see PINK and BROWN on your card/project....now that's an easy one...such a lovely colour combo!


For my card i've used a Pollycraft digital image "Kiki with cakes",coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's.
The papers are a download from The Creative Cottage "Something Sweet"......just the perfect colours for this weeks challenge.I've added little dots of glamour dust to the plain pink paper...just because...lol.
The flowers i've punched from the same papers using two sizes of Ek Success "Retro" flower punches and the tiny flowers i've used in the centers are punched with a Xcut one.

SKETCH SATURDAY....AUGUSTUS THE DRAGON...

It's that time of the week again.....Saturday which means it's time for another challenge over at SKETCH SATURDAY...another fabby sketch by Jo this week,hope you will come and play along with us...a big thank you to all who took up the challenge last week we had some fantastic creations :0)...we look forward to seeing what you all do with the sketch this week!

Our sponsor this week is DIGITAL DELIGHTS....and we were lucky enough to be given some fabby images to play with...as you can see i decided to use Augustus the dragon...isn't he a cutie!.I've coloured him using Copic markers and shaded alittle with a black Prisma pencil.I've added glossy accents to his spots and end of his tail but that's not showing up in the photo.

The paper is Basic Grey "Archaic" which i've coloured in places with the green and orange Copic's i've used on the image to bring everything together alittle better.

The sentiment is Cuddly Buddly...Puppy's Greetings.

The footprints are from the "Dino" stamp set by Basic Grey.

The brads are also Basic Grey...the three on the bottom are made using the Papermania Brad making set and two metal buttons.

THE CREATIVE COTTAGE...."CHRISTMAS"

Well nothing coloured today to show you just a really quick and simple Christmas card...over at THE CREATIVE COTTAGE this week the challenge is "CHRISTMAS"....
The special set on offer this week at The Creative Cottage is "Christmas Magic" £1.50 instead of £3.50 what a bargain...had to have it!...well it would have been rude not to...LOL.
When i saw what was in the set i knew i just had to make a Christmas Pud card :0)...i enlarged the image and as you can see printed out perfect even at this large size...to give you an idea of the size it fits just right into a 6x6 square envelope.
I printed it out three times...so that i could do some layering and give the card alittle dimension...i've added some extra holly this was printed off a Polka Doodles Christmas CD as was the sentiment.
I've added some glamour dust all around the edge of the icing and sentiment,but this is not showing up too good in the photo.

SURPRISE PARTY....

Hi everyone....today i've a card to share with you which i've made to cover a couple of challenges well 3 to be exact.
The HOUSE MOUSE CHALLENGE this week is a photo inspiration....i've used the colours in the photo as my theme for the card.
The stamp is HM "Surprise Party" coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's blended with Sansador and paper stumps.I've added glamour dust to the pom pom on the hat but this isn't showing up in the photo :0(.
The paper is Papermania "Sweet Nothings".
The sentiment is Hero Arts and the tiny tickets have been punched out with a McGill "Multi Tickets" punch.
And ribbon and self adhesive pearls from stash.


The other challenges i'm entering this card into are:-
PAPERTAKE WEEKLY.....i've used the sketch which i've rotated,due to the image i've used being rather on the large side.
C.R.A.F.T 64......Which this week is a photo inspiration,again used the colours in the photo for the theme of my card.

WALTZING MOUSE CHALLENGE #10....."SOOTHE AWAY THE DAY"

Hi everyone....i'd like to share a card with you today that i've made for the WALTZING MOUSE SKETCH CHALLENGE...now on sketch 10 where have all those weeks gone!
I intended to join in on this challenge each week...but sadly i've lapsed :0(.
For my card the main image which i've paper pieced and the sentiment are both from the same Waltzing Mouse set "AFTERNOON TEA"...just love this set!
The papers are Basic Grey "Eva"...the small pattern on this paper is perfect for paper piecing.
The doily from stash mountain...
All the layers and the image have been edged with "Spun Sugar" Distress Ink.
A simple card...but i love how it as turned out :0).

GDT CARD FOR POLLYCRAFT...."IN STITCHES"

Today i'd like to share with you me GDT card for the POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE....this week it was Michele's turn to pick the theme "IN STITCHES"....this can be real or faux,i've gone for the faux stitching,and i've stitched the buttons on (maybe that counts as real..lol).
I've got two sewing machines,both away in cupboards...too much trouble to get them out,i haven't got enough room to leave them out so they don't see the light of day very often :0(.
I decided to do alittle paper piecing,i love this technique,i think it sort of brings everything together.
The image i've used is from the Pollycraft "Baby Love" set and the papers and textured cardstock are DCWV.
The small sentiment on the pram handle is Personal Impressions and as been cut out with a tag punch.The other one in the corner is out of a button pack from Hobbycraft.
I've added a touch of glamour dust to the dangling heart,ribbon,buttons and adhesive pearls from stash.

BUTTONS AND BLOOMS.....

Well this week over at JUST CUTE BEARS our challenge this week is "BUTTONS and BLOOMS"....that's no mean task then is it :0),we all love our flowers and buttons and the only other requirement is a cute bear image :0) and i sholud think most of you have one of those...so what you waiting for come and join in!
We had some gorgeous cards last week,so a big thank you to all who took up the challenge with us.

For my card this week i decided to use a Cuddly Buddly stamp "Teddy & Rose" coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's and alittle glamour dust added to the rose.

The papers are all Pink Petticoat "Vintage Rose".
Flowers and mini buttons from stash.
I've used this weeks sketch over at SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY for my layout...thank you girls another fabby sketch to work with :0).

FIRST DT CARD FOR SKETCH SATURDAY.....

Well here we are my first DT card for SKETCH SATURDAY...and i must say a fabby sketch as always by Jo to start with :0).
I love the colours on this card one of my favourite colour combo's...and i think the image works well with these too.....the stamp i had as soon as it came out,Penny Black "Mimi and Friend" which i've coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's.
The papers are My Minds Eye "Quite Contrary" and came free with a magazine.
The flowers i've cut with a Xcut punch and added some self adhesive pearls to the centers.
The sentiment is a Doodlebug rub-on "All Mixed Up" medium size in Bubblegum.
Lastly alittle glamour dust to there wings.

I CAN NOW SPILL THE BEANS....SOME EXCITING NEWS

Well i've some exciting news to share with you...well i think it's exciting anyway....i've known for just over a week now but i had to keep my lips well and trully sealed untill i had the say so from the boss (Jo) :0) over at Sketch Saturday that i was allowed to spill the beans...yes you've probably guessed by now that i've joined the very talented DT over at Sketch Saturday!.....i was so shocked when i received an email from Jo asking if i would like to join the team i had to pinch myself to make sure i wasn't dreaming...LOL.
It's not only me who's the new kid on the block...there are two other newbies who will start with me tomorrow,very talented ladies too....CATHERINE and LISA....
I will be back then tomorrow with my first DT card,hope you will all come and join in...as always a fabby sketch by Jo.So for now that's about it folks

GDT CARD FOR POLLYCRAFT....."PHOTO INSPIRATION"...

This week over at the POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE we have a photo inspiration theme for you set by one of the DT Joanne....love the colour combo in the photo,that's where my inspiration for my card came from...

The base card was cut on my Circut using the "Wild Cart"....love this shape of card,and to be honest and i know you'll think i'm off my trolly but the main reason for purchasing my Expression was so that i could make these cards...how mad is that!

The image is one from the SWEET DREAMS "RETRO KIT",how gorgeous is she...such a pretty face!...and the pattern on her dress looks like the circles in the photo,well i think so :0),i've coloured her using Promarkers and Prisma's,i've cut out her dress and raised it up using Pinflair glue gel to give alittle dimension to the image.

The tiny stars i've added are what i've had for ages they came in a nail art kit many moons ago from QVC,never been used on my nails but perfect on the card!

The pearls and ribbon from every growing stash mountain :0).

Well Sunday's rolled round again...can anyone tell me where the week went?....but it mean's that it's time for another challenge over at JUST CUTE BEAR'S......the theme this week "BEAR and ME",we would like to see a bear and someone else.

ENJOY THE JOURNEY......

Morning all.....hope it's better where you are,it's absolutely persisting it down here,oh well we haven't had much rain at all and the gardens need it...and mine is looking much greener already...i'm so glad i cut the lawn Monday and tidied it up :0).....that's my other love!
On to my card...i've used this weeks sketch at SKETCH SATURDAY....thank you Jo,once again a fabby sketch to work with.
I'm also entering CARDS FOR MEN this week the theme is "Off On An Adventure".
This card came about because i wanted to try something out...i've had some of Crafters Companion "Spray & shine" for some time and decided to have a play...so the cars had a spray job ...lol,IRL very glossy...once again pants at photography :0(.
The car image is from one of Pollycraft's mini set's "On The Road",the sentiment is from the same set.
I've used Promarkers to colour the car,before cutting it out,spraying it and then raised it off the embossed panel (cuttlebug Herringbone folder and Black Magic "Spell Caster" coredinations card).I've added wheels made with buttons and metal brads.
I've used a page out of an old road atlas....in the age of the Sat Nav's this maybe it's only use :0).
The little Bon Voyage tag came in a kit from QVC many moon's ago,the cord was surplus to requirements off a recently purchased window blind and lastly the wheels are off one of my son's old car's from up the loft...

GDT FOR POLLYCRAFT....."FIT FOR A PRINCESS"

I recieved a lovely email from Paula of Pollycraft a few weeks ago asking if i would do a GDT spot for her on their weekly POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE...well after i'd picked myself up off the floor and wet my pants with excitement....LOL,i can tell you it didn't take me long to say YES!... so for the whole of August every Monday you'll be seeing my GDT creation :0)...thank you so much Paula i'm really honoured :0).

This weeks challenge is "FIT FOR A PRINCESS" theme by Ria...the image i've used is Pollycraft "Cherry Kisses Princess"...how cute is she!...coloured with Copics and Prisma's and glitzed all up with glamour dust..now a princess wouldn't be a princess without some sparkle!...she's been 3d'd using Pinflair glue gel onto the base card which i've made into the shape of a "princess's"coach.

The template i used for the coach is by Anna Marie.

The papers are DCWV "Latte" and "Taj Mahal"

Ribbon,self adhesive pearls,charm and gems are all from stash.

The wheels i used glamour dust on...they looked alittle dull...lol,must move the glamour dust...using it too much lately!

I made some steps so that it looks like she's stepping out of the carriage...these are detachable.

There's no sentiment on the outside of the card...i wanted whoever receives it to be able to display it maybe in their bedroom....so i've made a small card to go with it out of the same cardstock and paper.

I'm also going to enter this into the SECRET CRAFTER CHALLENGE...this week it's "WHEELS".

OH CHRISTMAS TREE....

Over at JUST CUTE BEARS this week the brief is "ANYTHING BUT SQUARE and INCLUDE A TAG".....another excuse for me to make a shaped card :0)...i do love my square cards,but must admit i do like a bit of variety...the spice of life...lol.
The card does fold down to fit just perfect into a 6x6 square envelope.
I've used a template to cut the tree shape....and i wasn't happy with the colour of the green cardstock i'd used...so out came my Cosmic Shimmer misters,the problem then should i use rich gold or silver...if in doubt go for the two,you guessed it i did!...must admit IRL it shimmers beautifully :0)..and then to give it alittle more sparkle i added some stickles to the outer edge...i wish i could take some good photo's i can never capture the shimmer and shine like some of you experts out there :0).
The stamp i've used is a FF one coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's then cut out in a triangle shape to fit nicely in the tree shape...i've also given this the gold treatment...i've rubbed an old gold ink pad all around the image and also on the tag containing the sentiment....the sentiment was part of the main FF stamp but i used it seperately.
I've finished off with a bell charm and alittle glamour dust.
