DISTRESSED MARIBEL.....

Hi everyone....something alittle different for me today,i've gone for the distressed / vintage look...i really think this gorgeous image cry's out for it!,and i must add today i'm happy with what i've made :0)...maybe my mojo's returned,we'll see...LOL!
No patterned papers...everything on the card as been stamped and everything's been distressed both with a distressing tool and Distress Inks....i made alot of mess,but hey i enjoyed it!and at the end of the day that's what it's all about!

DISTRESS INKS:- Walnut Stain and Old Paper.

Magnolia Doohickeys "Vintage Tag" die,lace corner is Anna Griffin,flowers,pearls and doily from stash.

Time for another fabby sketch by Jo over at SKETCH SATURDAY....and this week we are sponsored by Ah! La Carte,the winner of this weeks challenge will receive two Wild Rose Studio stamps,well worth joining in :0)....
I inked up a stamp i've had for ages and not got round to using...how bad is that,such a cute stamp too...."Sweet Dreams" by Penny Johnson.
I've had a change of colouring medium on this one too,i've dug my Distress Inks out and Twinkling H2Os...
I've added alittle gold glamour dust to the stars,not showing too good in the photo.
The patterned cardstock is from a Martha Stewart "Golden Woodland" stack,i've used some mirri card on this one it works well with the gold foiling on the trees.
I've used a Fiskars "Threading Water" punch to form the scalloped border and then added self adhesive pearls.
The sentiment is a Personal Impressions.


I'm also entering this card into the following challenges :-

WALTZING MOUSE CHALLENGE #10....."SOOTHE AWAY THE DAY"

Hi everyone....i'd like to share a card with you today that i've made for the WALTZING MOUSE SKETCH CHALLENGE...now on sketch 10 where have all those weeks gone!
I intended to join in on this challenge each week...but sadly i've lapsed :0(.
For my card the main image which i've paper pieced and the sentiment are both from the same Waltzing Mouse set "AFTERNOON TEA"...just love this set!
The papers are Basic Grey "Eva"...the small pattern on this paper is perfect for paper piecing.
The doily from stash mountain...
All the layers and the image have been edged with "Spun Sugar" Distress Ink.
A simple card...but i love how it as turned out :0).

DU2DS...SKETCH BY LARISSA

Well where are the weeks going?,we are now onto challenge 17 at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp and this week we have a lovely sketch for you to follow by one of the DT Larissa,thank you Larissa a dream to work with!
For my card i've used the "Heart Of Hearts" image by Chris(Sketching Stamper) which can be purchased along with so many other digi images HERE.I printed the image off and coloured it completly with distress ink "Antique Linen"and then used a Cosmic Shimmer Mist "Rich Gold"sprayed lightly over the top,not showing too good in the photo but lovely and shimmery IRL,i've done the same to the sentiment after printing it off on the computer using "Chocolate Box" font.
For the centre panel of the card i've used some handmade paper which also as a slight shimmer and sparkle to it,again not showing up too good in photo,over the top i've used acetate which i printed the heart of hearts image onto,i firstly reduced the image size and then tiled it to give me an all over pattern,i've then added black dew drops to sort of seperate the hearts.
I wanted to finish off with metal corners,but do you think i could find them,so had to us peel-offs which i added tiny pearls to each of the corner ends.Peel-offs i can hear you saying...yes i know i haven't used any since i first started card making,but to be honest i don't think they look that bad!
Everything else ribbon,faceted hearts and gems from stash.

DOUBLE DT....STAMP WITH FUN & CUTE DAISY MAY.

Hi.....today i've got two DT cards to share with you,firstly Stamp With Fun which this week we have a sketch for you to follow by one of the DT Tina,lovely sketch to work with thank you Tina, and a DL card instead of a square which make's a nice change.I've used "Shy Willow" from the WOJ Summer 2009 kit,coloured with Distress Inks.The papers and card are Cosmo Cricket,from a TSV from QVC.The flowers are Prima's,brads are also Cosmo Cricket,ribbon,flat backed self adhesive pearls and gems are from stash.

My second DT card is for Cute Daisy May where this week we have a theme "HOT,HOT,HOT" we would like you to use bright colours...pink,orange and yellow.I've used a lovely image from "SHEET 37",which along with so many more gorgeous images can be purchased from HERE.I've coloured mine using Copic Markers and Prisma's,she's then been cut out and raised using silicone gel.The papers are all Making Memories "Maddi",the chipboard letters are K & Co which were cream and i've coloured with Copics and then glamoured dusted to add some sparkle.The flowers have been cut using Woodware flower punches,self adhesive gems from stash.

DT FOR STAMPAVIE AND MORE....

Morning all....yet another week's passed and time once again for a new challenge at Stampavie and More,this week we have a sketch for you to follow by one of our DT...BA,lovely sketch to work with,thank you BA :0).

I've used one of my much loved Sarah Kay stamps "Time For Apple Pie" coloured with distress inks cut out using circle nesties and raised from the base card on dimensional tape.All papers and textured card are Cosmo Cricket,which i've also used to make the flowers,they have been punched out using Ek Success sml,med and large "Retro Flower" punches.The raffia lace is from Hobbycraft and pearls from stash.

DOUBLE DT....4 CHALLENGES.

Hi everyone....it's that time again,Monday,which means double DT time.My first card is for Stamp With Fun,this week we have a sketch for you to follow by one of the DT Bea (Megastamper).For mine i've used a Sugar Nellie Leanne Ellis stamp"Moon Beams" purchased from Funkykits,coloured with distress inks,i've added glamour dust to the moon,the sparkle's not showing very good in the photo.I've used two Cuttlebug embossing folders "Swiss Dots" and "Stylized Flowers" to give some texture to the three bottom semi circles.The background paper is from Designer Digitals,the sentiment is a Magnolia stamp and the flowers are a mixture of Prima's and punched out Retro flowers using Ek Success sml,med and large punches.Buttons,ribbon,gems and pearls all from stash.

The second DT card i've got to share with you is for Cute Daisy May,where the theme this week is "ANIMALS",i've used this cute little cow from "Sheet 26",this along with so many other cute images can be purchased from HERE.I've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium,i've then cut the image out and raised it using silicone gel onto a rectangle nestie which as also been raised using dimensional tape.The paper is a freebie from Linnie which you will find HERE and i think works well with this image.Flowers Prima's,sentiment computer generated and everything else from stash.

Hope you will all come and join us again this week on both challenges...we had a good response last week,some fabby creations...so thank you to those who joined us and hope to see you all again this week.

DOUBLE DT...SWF & CDM...

Well it's Monday again and that mean's i've two DT cards to share with you...firstly Stamp With Fun,this week the theme is "DOT'S",i've used a Sugar Nellie,Leanne Ellis stamp "Life Is A Journey" coloured with distress inks cut out and layered onto nesties.The paper is Pink Petticoat "His 'n' Her's",brads Cosmo Cricket and ribbon from stash.

The second one is for Cute Daisy May,the theme this week "CIRCLE'S",i've used the lastest sheet(35) of Linnie's...some lovely fairy images on this sheet,this along with so many other lovely images can be purchased from HERE.I've coloured mine using Promarkers and Prisma's,cut out and raised on silicone gel from the nestie circle which as also been raised from the base card on dimensional tape.The sentiment is WOJ,ribbon and adhesive pearls from stash...alittle glamour dust added to her wings and wand.

DT FOR STAMPAVIE AND MORE...

Well it's Wednesday again and that mean's we have a fresh challenge for you at Stampavie and More...this week we have a sketch for you to follow by our GD Stempel-Ulla.I've used a Sarah Kay stamp "First Kiss" coloured with distress inks and matted and layered using oval nesties.The papers are a download from Designer Digitals called "Manchester".The sentiment was computer generated and cut out using the ribbon tags die.I used a cuttlebug embossing folder "Heart Blocks" for two of the panels and for the heart and corner i used a spellbinders die....self adhesive pearls Kanban and ribbon from stash.

STAMPAVIE AND MORE....CHALLENGE #46 SKETCH BY GIO.

Today is Wednesday and that mean's we have a new challenge for you over at Stampavie and More,we have a lovely sketch for you to follow this week by Gio...thank you Gio great sketch to work with.

I've used Sarah Kay "Best Friends Forever" stamp coloured with Distress Inks,cut out and raised using silicone gel.The papers are Cosmo Cricket,the sentiment is from a free stamp set off a magazine,the flowers i've cut using a Ek Success "Retro Flower" punch,button from stash.The gorgeous lace came in some blog candy i won off Bev...thanks sweetie!

DOUBLE DT....STAMP WITH FUN & CUTE DAISY MAY.

Two DT items to share with you today...first Stamp With Fun where this week the challenge is "Not A Card"...i decided to make a Birthday/Event reminder,it was going to be displayed in a CD case,but i've 3d'd it and think it looks so much better on the easel anyway.I've used WOJ "Sitting Summer Willow! coloured with Distress Inks.The cherry paper and calendar are from a Funky Fairy's download and the stripped paper Pink Petticoat.Ribbon and adhesive gems from stash.Because the squares are too small to write in i've used large adhesive gems to mark the dates,the same colour gems are used on the back to index the dates....i've used Ben's and my moms birthdays to show you an example,not that i'm going to forget their birthdays...lol.

The second one is my DT card for Cute Daisy May...the theme this week "Let's Emboss".When Linnie sent us all some new sheets to work with i knew i just had to use one of the images from the Christmas sheet "No 27",i know what you're all thinking....i've lost the plot,thinking of Christmas with the weather we're having at the moment...lol,well it's never too soon to start!I've coloured her using Promarkers and Prisma's cut out and raised her from the Cuttlebug"Lace Tree" using Silicone gel,the papers are DCWV Christmas stack.The alphabet i've used for the bunting is K&Co which was cream,i coloured it using a promarker.The parcels are from a See'D stamp set also raised using silcone gel (these i added after i sent my photo to Linnie,so the one showing on the challenge blog as no parcels...naughty..lol),i cut the star,coloured it again with a promarker and covered it in glamour dust which i've also added to parts of the backing paper for some extra sparkle...but not showing too well.Everything else,tiny bows,flat backed pearls and gems to decorate the tree from stash.

3 IN 1....CHALLENGE COMBO.

Hi everyone...today i've combined 3 challenges with 1 card...Friday Sketchers which is a lovely sketch by one of the DT Heidi.great sketch to work with,thank you Heidi,A Spoon Full Of Sugar where this week the theme is "Lace" and lastly Charisma Card's the theme this week being "Flowers,Lace and Pearls".

I've used "Tilda With Rose" coloured with Distress Inks cut out and 3d mounted onto oval nesties using silicone gel.The papers are K & CO "Sparkly Sweet",i've used a paper lace doily,i hope this counts for the lace...and the flowers are a mixture of Flora Doodles,Prima's and paper roses.I've used glamour dust on Tilda's wings and put some stickles onto the rose...neither showing too good in the photo,lastly i've added some tiny self adhesive pearls to the corners.

That's about it...

DOUBLE DT...STAMP WITH FUN & CUTE DAISY MAY.

Well today i've got two cards to share with you,both DT cards,the first for Stamp with Fun which this week we have a sketch by Nikki our GD for you to follow,lovely sketch to work with...thank you Nikki! I've used "Dreamy Willow With Flowers" from the WOJ Summer 2009 kit.coloured with Distress Inks,cut out and raised onto a panel cut out using nesties with silicone gel.The papers and sentiment are all from Designer Digitals "Apple Dumplings Kit".The flowers have been cut out using Ek Success Retro Flower punches...small and medium.Self adhesive pearls from stash.

My second card is for Cute Daisy May,which this week the theme for the challenge is "Monotone",i knew as soon as i saw this what i wanted to do...i've created a frame using a spellbinders frame die,coloured the image which was taken from "Sheet 2" with Prisma's and Sansador to give a sepia effect,covered it with a piece of acetate and mounted it onto a base card,i wanted to make it look like an old framed photo.The flowers are a mixture of Prima's and others from stash,the leaves i've cut freehand and then painted them with several layers of copper H2'0,to finish i've added a bow made with ribbon from stash.Love these images,this one and many other cute ones can be purchased HERE.

JUST MAGNOLIA and DUTCH DARE.....

Hi again...my second post for today,i've had a little me time this morning so made this for the Just Magnolia challenge which this week is "Lets Get In Shape"....nothing square,this fell just right as i received some doily cards yesterday from Chris,she had very kindly cut me some on her Cricut,thank you so much Chris,you're a star!

I've had a change in my colouring medium on this one too...i've used Distress inks...really i should have told you to bring some sunglasses,it's alittle bright!I've also used one of my older Tilda's "Party Tilda",i think this may have been my first Tilda stamp i purchased,once coloured i've cut her out using nesties and 3d'd her using dimensional foam tape.I've added glamour dust to her wings and the surrounding stars so i'm also going to enter this into Dutch Dare which this week is "Bling and/or glitter on your card.

I've finished off by adding tiny pearls to the scallops and ribbon from stash.
