TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS and CUTE CARD THURSDAY......

Hi everyone.....decided to have alittle play this afternoon,i haven't done any colouring since December, thought it was about time i got my Markers back out and give them an airing...LOL.
This card covers two challenges "TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS"....this week a lovely sketch to follow by Sharon....i enjoyed working with it,thank you.An optional challenge extra is to omit the square base and make a round card...so this is what i've gone for.
The second challenge it covers is "CUTE CARD THURSDAY"....this week the brief is to make a card for someone special, well i reckon a friend is someone special!

For my base card i've used a card which as been cut on the Cricut, this was sent to me awhile back by a blogging friend :0),
The image is "Soft Gothic Night"...Sweet Pea Stamps, coloured using Promarkers and Prisma Pencils blended using Sansador.I've then cut the image out using what is called "out of bounds"(think that's what it's called)with my nestie circle die's,the top image layer as been raised using 3d dimensional pads.
The paper is Basic Grey "Urban Prairie"....which i've added alittle pink to the flowers using a Copic marker...i wanted to bring the pink into the BP.
The sentiment is a HOTP rub-on....onto a ex large HOTP brad.
The ribbon, gems, flower and black pearls all from stash.
Well thats about it for now,
Take care

Hi.....i'd like to share a quick and simple card with you today, one i've made this morning for the Just Cute Bears Challenge, this week a "Multifold" card is asked for,the only other thing required is a cute bear image.
The image i've used is a Forever Friends one printed off a new FF CD i recently purchased.I've printed the image three times and decoupaged it up alittle,it's then been layered up using my circle nesties onto a "Springy" card....i love this style of card but hadn't made one of these for awhile.
Finished off with flowers, pearls and a ribbon bow from stash.
Hope you're all having a great weekend,
Take care

2 IN 1......DU2DS and SKETCH SATURDAY.

Well i decided to combine a couple of challenges today....DU2DS,this week the dare is "RED,GREEN and your choice of NEUTRAL" and follow the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.Thought i'd have a go at colouring, first for 3 months....the image is from Sensational Santa's from PC Crafter, coloured using Promarkers,Prisma's and Sansador. The paper is DCWV Christmas stack, ribbon's and button from stash and sentiment is a silver peel off i've coloured with a black permanent marker....i know what you're thinking "a peel off",well it looks quite good IRL,looks like it's been heat embossed.I've added alittle glamour dust to the pom pom on his hat.Another quick card again, but i'm happy with it!
Well that's about it for now,i must try to get round to your blogs to see what you've all been up to,i bet you've all got your Christmas cards finished!

CHRISTMAS WISHES.....

Hi everyone....thought i'd share a card with you today that i made yesterday, not for any challenge, just one of three quick and simple ones for my Christmas box,i'm way behind this year!.I've used a Papermania scalloped card for the base, matted and layered using Anna Griffin cardstock from a Christmas kit i got from QVC two years ago.The image is from "Banner Of Joy" by Penny Black which i've stamped out twice using a green ink pad which also came in the Anna Griffin kit,so matches the cardstock perfectly.I cut part of the second image and 3d'd it using Pinflair glue gel...see photo below.I've finished the flower off with some pale green adhesive gems.I'm unsure of the make of the sentiment stamp, but this is the only one i could find that would fit nicely into the Making Memories label holder. All edges have been aged using Antique Linen Distress Ink.
Well thats about it,i would like to thank all who left comments on my last card,it had been so long from when i last posted/blogged and i really appreciate each and everyone of them,i must say i'm finding it really difficult trying to get back into my crafting/blogging,i feel like a fish out of water and haven't done any colouring of images for 3 months,i'm beginning to wonder whether i will still know how!I used to take my cards to show my mom who would scrutinize every inch of it....she had always worked as a table hand in the printing trade untill she retired she had a good eye for detail, and a very honest opinion of my work, she would always tell me if something wasn't quit right or if she didn't like anything, everything now just seem's so pointless,i miss my mom so much!I'm finding it difficult to move on and am coping less now than i did when she first died...time's a good healer i know.Sorry to have gone all morbid on you,it's could to put down into words how i'm feeling.
Take care all

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME.....DU2DS & PENNY BLACK CHALLENGES..

Well it's been a long time since i posted last and since i did any crafting....Christmas is almost here and i need to do some cards,i will have to buy some this year but will try to do afew simple ones of my own.
Decided to join in on DU2DS challenge, this week the dare is "GLITTER" and Penny Black where this week the challenge is "WINTER WONDERLAND".
I've used a free digi image from Fred She Said and glittered it using ultra fine glitters, each layer,5 in all have been mounted onto dimensional foam pads.
Fleur De Lis,Spellbinders pendant die as been used to create the base of the Doodledallion.I've added a snowflake and adhesive gem from stash to the center.
The sentiment is from a Penny Black T For Transparent set " Banner Of Joy".

Just a close up of the Doodledallion....love these easel cards, first one i've made and i'm really happy with the way it's turned out.
Well that's about it for now, hope it won't be so long for my next post....
Take care all
