WHIMSY DECEMBER DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP......

Hi and welcome to the WHIMSY DECEMBER DIGI RELEASE BLOG HOP.....if you have arrived from the lovely ANNEKE'S blog then you are in the right place if not them you may want to start at the WHIMSY INSPIRATIONS BLOG so that you don't miss anything along the way....

For my card i wanted to showcase one of the pre-coloured digi images by the very talented Chrissy Armstrong "Teddy's First Christmas"....these images are just perfect for a quick card or if you are batch making.
I decided to go for a shaped card....the image enlarged perfectly,to give you an idea of size the card it fits into a 6in square envelope.
I printed the image off four times, before cutting out the base image i adhered it to some sturdy cardstock then cut around the image to form the shape, the hinge of the card is behind the bird.
I then cut the parts i needed from the other images giving lots of dimension to the card.....i added lots of glitter to his hat and the pom pom on the birds hat....and alittle glossy accents to the teddy's nose.
The sentiment is also a new release today from the Whimsy Christmas Sentiments set by Ann,Raindrop Echo Designs. The teddy was holding a sugar cane but i cut this off and made a slit in the image around his thumb so that he could hold the sentiment instead :0).
Hope you will go check out all the fab releases over at WHIMSY.....don't forget the beauty of a digi image is you can resize, rotate, flip and many other things you can't do with a stamp.
Well that's enough waffle....just to say before moving on to your next and last port of call which is CHRISSY'S blog please don't forget to leave a comment there will be two random blogs who will pick a winner from their comments and they will get to pick a digital image.
The grand prize winner will get to pick 5 digital images and a chance to use them as a GDT for WHIMSY for the entire month of December.....that winner will be picked at CHRISSY'S blog.
The hop will remain open from 1st December 12 noon EST untill 7th December 12 noon EST.Hope you've all enjoyed the hope so far and good luck :0)

Take care

LET IT SNOW!!!!!!....

Well todays card is very appropriate for the weather we're having here at the moment in the UK.....as i'm typing up this post it's beginning to snow again here....another day i'll not be venturing out.
Back onto the card...today over at STAMPAVIE and MORE we have a new challenge for you "Snow/Snowflakes"...like i say very appropriate....i've used one of todays new releases from POLLYCRAFT....Paula's released 5 today, you must go check them out...this is Jerry "Snowman",from the new Jerry Kisses.... now Cherry's got a friend :0).
I've coloured the image using Promarkers and Prisma's,i've then cut it out and 3d'd it using glue gel to give the card some dimension,i've also 3d'd two of the tree's which i cut out using a Marianne Design tree die.....i've used stickles on the tree's and around the base of the image.
The glittered cardstock(which you can hardly see) and the textured cardstock are both DCWV.
The "let it snow" was made using Doodlbug "all mixed up" rub-ons,and for the snowflakes i used a Xcut punch.

Just a close up of the lovely image and i must add a dream to colour.....just two Jerry Kisses at the moment but i'm sure Paula's got some more up her sleeve :0).

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges :-
SKETCH AND STASH....i followed the sketch and my image is my new stash.
