HOT and SPICY LUCY.....

Hot and spicy Lucy...bet you wondered what you were coming to look at...lol.This is one of my new stamps the postie delivered yesterday and i couldn't wait to ink her up!....this is off one of the new Kanban sets which are now selling at Funkykits...

I thought the colour combo sort of suited Lucy...i've used Promarkers and Prisma's as my colouring medium...must get my Distress Inks back out and have a play with those for a change.
The papers are all Making Memories "Maddi" just perfect i thought to go with the image which i always colour first and then match papers...not really the right way,but it works for me!
The copper embellishment is from stash as is the brad.
I've followed the sketch over at SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY....thank you girls.
And i'm also entering this into COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE...this week the colour theme is "HOT PINK,WARM ORANGE and SAFFRON" and C.R.A.F.T. CHALLENGE...which is "HOT and SPICY" hence the title :0).
Well that's about it for now...have a great day,
Take care

"TOUCHY FEELY".....

"Touchy Feely" is the theme this week at THE CREATIVE COTTAGE....this is the first time i've joined in on the challenge but decided i'd give it a whirl....seeing that i'd just purchased this weeks special offer kit "BabyEllie And Family"it would have been rude not to use it!...LOL.

All papers and image are printed from the Creative Cottage kit...i print the backing papers onto 160 gsm smooth cardstock and this time because of the "Touchy Feely" theme i've printed the image onto sticky back flock paper...it's the first time i've tried this and i must say i'm really pleased with the result :0).
The trim across the middle is made from felt...not sure where this came from,i think it was in a Cosmo Cricket set from QVC.
I've 3d the image...i printed it out 3 times, cut and layered it using Pinflair glue gel onto an embossed background which had been created using a Crafts Too 5x5 "Dots" embossing folder.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts....the google eyes, pearls and tiny button from stash.
I'm also entering this card into this weeks FRIDAY SKETCHERS CHALLENGE....i followed their fabby sketch it so suited the card i wanted to make!
Well i'll love and leave you for now..hope you all have a fab day :0)..
Take care

WEDDING DAY WISHES......

Hi....today i'd like to share a card with you i've made to cover two challenges....POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE this week where the theme is "LOVE & MARRIAGE"and i've sort of followed the sketch over at WALTZING MOUSE.

The sentiment and focal point of the card is from one of the mini doodle sets "Mr & Mrs" not long released at Pollycraft,i've also shrunk down the wedding cake from the same set and inserted between the wording.
Not much to the card really.....alot of die cutting which i love playing around with!
The gorgeous embossed paper i'm sure came in one of those bumper kits from Crafters Companion many moons ago!
Flowers,pearls and ribbon from stash.
Well thats about it for now folks...hope you all have a lovely day....the weathers really dull here today...that hanging over weather,i hate it!
Take care

WISH UPON A STAR.......

"Bear necessities" ,clean and simple style cards is the name of the game this week over at JUST CUTE BEARS...

And this week we are being sponsored by Paula from Pollycraft....there's two prizes up for the taking for two lucky winners...can i enter...LOL,check out the challenge for more details of whats up for grabs...well worth joining in on the fun this week!

Clean and simple...not a style i use very often, but i will be from now on.....so quick and i love the finished result!
The star shape card was made using a template, the card folds flat and fits into a 6" square envelope.
I stamped the Cuddly Buddly (Little High Flyer) image directly onto the card and then again another twice so that i could 3d him,he was coloured in using Promarkers and Prisma's....not that there's much colouring on this one,i added some glamour dust to the stars which looks lovely IRL.
The sentiment is from a SeeD's set "Magical Christmas".
I finished off by edging the base card with diamond stickles...i wasn't pleased with the colour when it had dried so i went over it with some lemon chalk...much better :0).
Well all that's left to say is...a big thank you to all who joined us last week..."Gorgeous" creations once again and you'll all take up the challenge this week...don't forget there's that fabby prize up for grabs...well two of them, double the chance of winning this week :0).
Hope you all have a lovely day
Take care,

FLASH YOUR FREEBIES ...PART 2....

Hi....last week Paula from Pollycraft had an additional challenge,to use one of any of the freebies she's given away..and she said there was around 40!...make a card/project with it,link it to her blog and she would then email you with another free image...to use in the second part of the challenge...well the free image was this cute little fellow and the challenge is think "GREEN".

When i saw the theme today i knew i had to make a shaped card with it....i enlarged the image and printed it out twice on two different greens of DCWV textured cardstock.
I scored and folded a third piece of card the same as the paler green, stuck the printed image to it,leaving some over hang at the top and cut round it...I then cut parts of the image from the darker green and stuck it to the base image....paper piecing really but with cardstock.
I added alittle colour to his cheek with some chalk.
Beaded wire, charm, bow, pearl and wobbly eye from stash.
To give you an idea of size it fits nicely into a 6" square envelope....i didn't want to add anything else to the image so i've made a tiny card out of the scraps of the same card, the sentiment is Hero Arts...flower from stash.
Just a fun thing but i like it!
That's it for now....oh i forgot to mention Paula is letting you pick another freebie from her shop if you enter this second part :0)...can't be bad!
Take care

JUST MAGNOLIA...IT'S YOUR SPECIAL DAY!....SKETCH BY BEV...

Hi.....today i've made a card for the JUST MAGNOLIA CHALLENGE ....it's been such a long time since i entered this challenge...and so many neglected Magnolia stamps.
To be totally honest i've never been really 100% sure whether i trully like Tilda!..i love her on everyone else's cards just not mine...but i think my hubby's got alot to do with this...he doesn't like her full stop!and i think he's put me off alittle :0(...so why you ask do i still keep buying the stamps?,can't answer that one!...you tell me!...lol.
I've used Princess Tilda coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's blended using Sansador.I've done something on this image that i don't normally do...i've outlined her with a pale blue marker...not too sure if i like it! the jury's out on this one....i've added lots of sparkle to her tiara, gloves, dress and button on her shoe using glamour dust....i can never capture the glitz in the photo like some of you do....i wish i could take good photo's!
The paper is "Nanna's Wallpaper" from Funky Fairy's.
The sentiment is by Scrappy Cat from the "Birthday Wishes" set.
I've used a Martha Stewart Doily punch to form the lacey border.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Hobby Craft.
Ribbon and gems from stash.
Well i've enjoyed joining in this week and what a fabby sketch to work with too!.....by the very talented Bev....
Hope you all have a great day whatever your plans.
Take care

CHRISTMAS IN JULY......

Morning all.....i say this every week but where's the week gone again...it soon will be Christmas before we know it!....
This week at JUST CUTE BEARS the theme is "Christmas In July"....so dig out those Christmas stamps and come and join in!...that will be one less to worry about two weeks before Christmas...lol.

For my card i went with a Forever Friends stamp that's exclusive to the Glitter Pot "Christmas Gift"...coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's...the sentiment is also part of a FF stamp i just inked the sentiment part up.
The base is made up of two different size shaped cards cut using my Cricut and the "Wild Card"...the white bottom layer is 5 3/4" and the black layer is 5 1/4".
The other layers have been done with the scallop circles nesties.
I've threaded some gingham ribbon througth the holes which i love to do with these type of cards.
Finished off with some glamour dust to the ribbon and bow on the image and some diamond stickles around is feet.
Well that's all for now....just would like to say a big thank you to all who joined us last week for Helen's sketch we had some gorgeous creations hope to see you all again this week...and remember there's just one rule you must use a cute bear :0)...now that's not difficult is it!
Have a lovely Sunday,
